I need to find a way to leave behind a positioning beacon and come back to burn it once in a while. In any case, my memories will be backed up in the brain of my manifested self. Even if I'm burned into an idiot, I won't be afraid.

Her thoughts began to sway, and her already unfocused vision grew hazy and indistinct. She seemed to see a scene that was both unfamiliar and incredibly familiar: a wasteland, a ruin, an altar, and a weeping figure. At the end of her memories was a voice she seemed to hear often, yet could not place at all.

"Idiot! You idiot! You—"

The memory came to an abrupt halt. The scene, as if it had been a hallucination, vanished without a trace and quickly faded like a dream from yesterday. She frowned and was just about to rub her temples to relax her mind when, in the next moment, she sensed a slightly cool embrace from behind.

"Don't go." The voice behind her was cold yet urgent. A pair of slender, pale hands reached around from behind and clutched her chest tightly, as if grasping at a straw to save themselves from drowning.

"Don't leave." The girl behind her repeated herself. Her trembling voice was filled with emotion, and even carried a hint of a sob.

"I didn't go anywhere." Miss Surtr's thoughts returned to normal. She tilted her head in confusion, then lightly pressed her fingertips against the slightly cold arms wrapped around her, only to discover that Yelena was holding on exceptionally tightly. All she could do was sigh. "My feet haven't even moved an inch."

Her words seemed to have some effect.
