Mixed Doubles?
"Uh..."
After hearing Qin Feng's words, Tang San's lips twitched.
Those swindlers were truly unlucky to have run into Feng Ge.
Let alone a hundred jin, if Feng Ge used his full strength now, he could lift two or three hundred jin with one hand.
This guy was a complete freak!!
Still, they deserved it. Who told them to scam people here?
In a remote city like Notting City, one copper coin was practically a quarter of an ordinary person's monthly wage. Those bastards were practically bloodsuckers.
Before long, they arrived at the plaza below the school building.
Since it was the weekend and already nighttime, there was no one around.
They were all children. Who would come here to study over the weekend? They were either wasting away in the dorms or out playing.
"Who's there?"
At that moment, as Tang San chatted away, a strange feeling vaguely surfaced in his heart.
It felt as though someone was watching them.
"What's wrong?"
Qin Feng looked at Tang San with slight confusion.
His physical senses had merely improved through the system's enhancements. He was not as specialized as Xiao San.
"Feng Ge, I think we may have a tail."
A faint purple light appeared in Tang San's eyes. Through his Purple Demon Eyes, Qin Feng saw several people dressed in black following them from behind.
"Oh? They still caught up with us?"
As Tang San's voice fell, Qin Feng's lips curled slightly.
There was not the slightest trace of worry on Qin Feng's face. Instead, he looked almost amused.
"Xiao San, let's go to the back mountain."
Qin Feng looked at Tang San, a peculiar glint flashing through his eyes.
"Mm, I'll listen to Feng Ge."
Tang San nodded. The two small figures, who had originally been heading toward the dormitory building, changed direction and walked into the small woods behind the school.
Soon after, they arrived at the place where they had fought the noble students at noon.
"This should do."
After arriving, Qin Feng looked around.
The place was spacious enough, and there was no one around. They could do whatever they wanted.
"Come out. What are you after, following us all this time?"
Tang San spoke coldly toward a dark path behind them.
Since this was the back mountain, almost no one came here at night, so there were no streetlights either.
They could barely make out the road by moonlight.
"Well, well? We were actually discovered?"
After hearing Qin Feng's words, a voice full of surprise came from behind them.
Then, five men of varying heights and builds appeared before them.
One of them was the pockmarked man known as Old Si.
"So it really is you."
Upon seeing them, Qin Feng's lips curved into a crescent smile, as if he had expected this all along.
"Kid, do you know that what you took today was all the money us five brothers had? If we don't get it back from you, are we supposed to eat mud?"
The pockmarked Old Si spoke in a cold, stern voice.
"Aren't you afraid I'll expose you tomorrow?"
Though the men radiated murderous intent, Qin Feng still faced them with a calm, leisurely expression.
"Expose us? If you had gone back to the dorms, we really would have had to consider the consequences. But who knows what got into the heads of you two little brats? You actually led us brothers here."
The pockmarked man sneered.
"As long as we kill you, we can leave Notting City tonight. Who would ever find us?"
A slightly shorter man snickered.
"Third Brother, Fourth Brother, why waste so many words on these two kids? Let me crush their heads right away."
A man as thin as a bamboo pole rushed forward.
At some point, a broadsword had appeared in his hand, and he slashed down at the two of them.
Qin Feng and Tang San swiftly dodged.
In an instant, they moved to either side.
"Feng Ge, this place is pretty good. How about we each use our spirit skills and see who takes down more?"
Tang San's lips lifted slightly as he spoke to Qin Feng.
"Oh? Use spirit skills? I'm afraid I'll beat them all to death."
Qin Feng gave a wicked smile.
"What an arrogant little brat. Do you know who we are? We are—"
"Blue Silver Grass, Entanglement!"
Before the man could finish speaking, a faint blue glow appeared in Tang San's palm. Blue Silver Grass swiftly wrapped around the man.
"A hundred-year Spirit Ring!!"
Seeing the hundred-year Spirit Ring Tang San had unleashed, the black-clothed men cried out in unison.
This child looked only five or six years old, yet he possessed a hundred-year Spirit Ring. His background must be far from ordinary!
But since they had already made their move, there was no reason to back down now.
"Hmph! No wonder you dared to act so calm. So you have a hundred-year Spirit Ring. If this were outside, we might really have left, but this place is deserted. A child is still a child—too clever for your own good!"
A short, fat man round as a ball spoke coldly. Then, two Spirit Rings emerged from his body.
One was white, and the other was yellow!
"Our eldest brother is a Soul Grandmaster. You two little kids actually dared to play tricks on us. This time, you've played yourselves right into a corner, haven't you?"
If they still had not realized after seeing Tang San use his spirit skill that this had been a trap, then they would have been swindlers for nothing.
Unfortunately, how could two children possibly contend with five adults? They had merely been too clever for their own good.
"A Soul Grandmaster!"
When Tang San saw the fat, ball-like man's Spirit Rings appear, his expression instantly became extremely grave.
At the same level, basically no one could threaten him—except for the freak that was Feng Ge!
But if it was a Soul Grandmaster, then this would be troublesome.
The difference between one Spirit Ring and two Spirit Rings was simply worlds apart.
Even if he was a genius among Spirit Masters, he had no way to compare with a Soul Grandmaster.
"Qiu Bai, level twenty-one, two-ring Soul Grandmaster. Martial Soul: Purple Scar Red Rat."
The fat man assumed a battle stance, ready to strike.
A large, indistinct rat appeared on his body.
The rat's eyes were crimson and brimming with viciousness. In particular, the lightning-like purple scars across its black fur gave off an inexplicable sense of pressure.
"Damn it!"
Locked onto by the man, Tang San's expression grew incomparably serious.
He had used up his Sleeve Arrows in the forest earlier. Today, he had planned to forge another one at the blacksmith shop, but before he could finish, Feng Ge's five hundred Gold Soul Coins had interrupted him.
If he had his Sleeve Arrows, then with them and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, he was confident he could kill this fatty with absolute certainty.
If he tried to force it with Blue Silver Grass now, his chances of defeating the opponent were less than ten percent.
"Hehe, have you all forgotten about me?"
Standing off to the side, Qin Feng only felt a bleak chill sweep past him, because everyone's attention had turned toward Tang San.
