Su Xiaobai rescued the dying Nine Revolutions Demonic Dragon by binding it with a Blood Curse Oath and cutting through its soul-locking chains. The dragon recovered its strength and took human form, just as a vast army of Desolate Grade powerhouses approached the Northern Heaven Star Nation.

Su Xiaobai defended the Northern Heaven Star Nation against a massive attack, using his Shadow army to slaughter enemy forces and gather resources. He then put Nine Revolutions Demonic Dragon to work transforming the underground ore vein into Origin Crystals.

• Su Xiaobai let rival Supreme Jiang Kingdoms attack his territories while he conserved strength and waited for them.
• Five Saint-level Shadows and an army of ten thousand Shadows helped Su Xiaobai repel forces from five Supreme Jiang Kingdoms, killing over a thousand experts and earning him Origin Crystals and cultivation techniques.
• Nine Revolutions Demonic Dragon demonstrated its ability to turn spirit jade crystal into an Origin Crystal after Su Xiaobai ordered it to.

He learned that reaching the next stage required Heavenly Dao recognition, and that cultivating thirty thousand Creator-level Ancient Daos could make him one of the heaven-chosen, though many of the remaining Daos were nearly impossible to find.

• Su Xiaobai used Northern Heaven Star Nation’s defenses and growing forces to withstand the war for ten years, while the system reached the ninth level of the Desolate Grade and his Shadow Quantity rose to forty million.
• Su Xiaobai sent Shadows across the Sea of Nothingness, where they infiltrated the fighting Supreme Jiang Kingdoms, gathered relics, and escaped repeated attempts to capture them.
• Su Xiaobai synthesized a Saint-level Shadow that captured a Sixth Stage Great Desolation expert, then interrogated enemy experts in the Second Ancient Domain for information about advancing.
• Su Xiaobai learned that a natural barrier blocked Seventh Stage Great Desolation experts from the Eighth Stage unless they gained Heavenly Dao recognition.
• A captured ruler told Su Xiaobai that cultivating thirty thousand Ancient Daos and raising each to the Creator level could make him one of the heaven-chosen and allow him to repair the seventy-second rift.
