Background and History

In the Ancient Era, the Demon Race fielded legions and stood in irreconcilable conflict with humanity. The Earth Core Fire Marshal's demon fortress was deliberately designed to perish, along with its nearly ten thousand demons, once a human successor emerged. 623 862

The race became far less visible over the following millennium. Elder Yang Yiguan nevertheless confirmed that transformed Demonic Beasts had reappeared in the True Spirit Domain, including the force responsible for the destruction of the Beast Taming Sect 107 years earlier. 623

After Great Zhou's founding, its powerful figures drove the Demon Race from the Primordial Era, forcing it to establish itself in the secondary Taimeng Demon Realm. The race later returned through large-scale invasions and opened temporary spatial channels into the Primordial Continent. 3447 2812

During the later war, the Demon Race pursued the resurrection of its Primordial Demon Gods through blood qi, malevolent qi, sacrificial formations, and the power of its own cultivators. Great Prophet Jiu Xi partially merged his soul projection with the Moon Demon Primordial Demon God Yue Zhong in an attempt to raise it to Dao Ancestor-level power. 3337 3340 3341

The campaign ended in catastrophe. After the final Primordial Demon God Amiqi and numerous Creation Realm experts fell, Great Prophet Jiu Yan surrendered the Heavenly Secrets Jade Bone to Ye Zhen and begged for the race's survival. 3455

The Demon Race is divided into numerous clans, royal bloodlines, subordinate tribes, and vassal races. Its internal organization is described as complex, chaotic, and heavily tribal; only imperial-family bloodlines are generally self-governing, while other lords and clans often live intermixed. 1370

Strength, bloodline, and military merit determine status. Demon society prizes military merit above all else, and its political order is correspondingly warlike. Human–Demon Hostility

Humanity and the Demon Race remained enduring enemies across multiple eras. During the Demon Race's invasion, its forces and allied demonic beasts created severe pressure on Great Zhou, including rebellions among Demonic Beast mounts that disrupted the empire's rear. 1937

The Human-Demon Battlefield became the principal front of this conflict. Although the Demon Race eventually breached the line during Great Zhou's internal instability, it continued to suffer heavy losses against organized human resistance. 2935

Alliance to Destroy Zhou and Zhen

The Demon Race sought to unite hostile foreign powers through the Alliance to Destroy Zhou and Zhen. Its intended purpose was intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, Ye Zhen's elimination, Great Zhou's destruction, and the division of the Primordial Continent. 2937

Defeat and Plea for Survival

The loss of Amiqi, the last Primordial Demon God, five Creation Realm Divine Kings, and over one hundred Demon Gods left the race in crisis. Great Prophet Jiu Yan surrendered to Ye Zhen and pleaded for the Demon Race to survive. 3455
