In a remote residential compound in City C, a seemingly young man who had just returned to his rented apartment after work took off his suit, casually tossed his socks onto the head of the bed, and impatiently turned on his computer.
Why call him seemingly young? His face suggested that he was not very old, but his thinning hair and utterly haggard appearance did not quite fit the image of a vibrant young man.
After taking off his suit and turning on the computer, the young man first loosened his muscles, then did some stretching and squats. Only after that did he drink a cup of hot water and slowly sit down in front of the computer.
Just as he was about to open the forum he had been looking forward to, his phone rang.
The seemingly young man furrowed his bare brows, picked up his phone, turned on speakerphone, and asked as he opened the webpage, "Manager, what is it?"
"Where did you go?"
"I got off work."
"Who told you that you could get off work?" The voice on the other end immediately turned furious.
"Do you really need someone to tell me?" The young man tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Isn't six o'clock the company's designated quitting time?"
"That's only when the work is finished! Do you think your work is finished?"
"I finished it." The young man chuckled. "I submitted it at three."
"Does submitting it mean it's finished? Have I reviewed and signed off on it?"
"Then why didn't you sign it, Manager?" The young man browsed the webpage, sounding unconcerned. "If there was a bug, you should have told me earlier. I submitted it at three."
"You submitted it at three, so I have to review it at three?
