"Mike... did you hear that?"

The players stood dazed for a long while. David was the first to recover. He patted Mike on the shoulder and asked, "Did you hear that?"

Mike rolled his eyes at him. "They played it more than ten times. I'm not deaf. How could I not have heard it?"

Still, it was rather unbelievable...

Mike gazed blankly at the fairy-tale-like city in the distance. "Are they talking about this city? Such a huge city? And they're choosing a player to be its city lord?"

Everyone else found it unbelievable too. Such a massive city, with so many facilities inside it. Apart from the commercial shops and residences belonging to private players, there were also many powerful public facilities, such as the Advanced Training Hall, the High-Tech Combat Center, the Elf Incubation Center, and so many professional instructors.

A city with so many functions and so many NPCs was actually going to select a private player as its city lord? Was this for real? Could it be merely an honorary position?

But they had clearly heard just now that the city lord would possess Legislative Power, Management Power, and Construction Power. Was it really appropriate to give such enormous authority to a private player?

Everyone stood there in a daze...
