Background

Origins and early cultivation

Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast Blue Silver Emperor in human form. His mixed heritage accounts for his Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer Twin Martial Souls. 248 263

Dugu Bo took Tang San to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he cultivated for half a year, developed immunity to water and fire, and changed his relationship with Dugu Bo from hostility to friendship. He also took Immortal Herbs from the site to assist his Shrek teammates' cultivation. 23

Soul Master Tournament

By the tournament, Tang San possessed a Ten Thousand Year Fourth Soul Ring and used Blue Silver Entanglement as an area-control technique. His first four rings matched Feng Xiaotian's configuration. 39 46

He fought Feng Xiaotian after Dai Mubai had depleted much of Feng's Soul Power. Tang San used Tang Sect techniques, Blue Silver control skills, the Eight Spider Lances, and ultimately the Clear Sky Hammer, publicly exposing both his External Soul Bone and Twin Martial Souls. 92 93 94

Spirit Hall pursuit and later training

Bibi Dong ordered Yue Guan and Gui Mei to assassinate Tang San because he was Tang Hao's son, possessed the Clear Sky Hammer, and was Yu Xiaogang's disciple. Tang San and the Shrek Seven Devils survived the ensuing ambush only through Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo Chen Xin's intervention. 97 98

Tang San subsequently spent two years in the City of Slaughter, passed Hell Road, and acquired Divine Slaughter's Domain. He later studied at Moonlight Pavilion for nearly a year, where he learned noble etiquette, music, and improved control of his killing intent. 185 246

Return to Heaven Dou City

Tang Hao brought Tang San to meet his mother in her Blue Silver Grass form. Tang San absorbed her Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Soul Bone, which purified his Soul Power, strengthened the effects of the Immortal Herbs within him, and greatly enhanced his Mysterious Heaven Skill internal energy. 248

After finding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well destroyed, Tang San returned to Heaven Dou City. His evolved Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul had altered his appearance so drastically that even his former companions did not recognize him at first. He adopted the identity Tang Yin to evade Spirit Hall spies. 249 250

As Tang Yin, he treated the poisoned Emperor Xue Ye with Dugu Yan's assistance. He later revealed his true identity and lineage to Xue Beng and Prince Xue Xing, proposing hidden weapons as part of their defense against Xue Qinghe's planned coup. 256 263

Palace coup, exile, and the Clear Sky Sect

During the Heavenly Dou Palace Coup, Tang San lost Yu Xiaogang, was repeatedly overwhelmed by Feng Xiaotian, and watched Xiao Wu disappear into Feng Xiaotian's Black Hole Space. Tang Hao enabled Tang San's escape, but Tang San later learned that his father had died. 302 304 314

He joined Dai Mubai in the Star Luo Empire, swearing revenge against the Heavenly Dou Empire under Xue Qinghe and Spirit Hall under Bibi Dong. 309

Tang San then returned to the Clear Sky Sect, defeated Tang Hu and the Seventh Elder, and earned recognition as a Direct Disciple. The elders required him to reach Level 85 within ten years, kill a Martial Soul Hall Titled Douluo, and obtain a Hundred-Thousand-Year Eighth Soul Ring. 318 319

After helping relocate the Clear Sky Sect to Star Luo City and forging three thousand Godly Zhuge Crossbows for the Star Luo military, Tang San entered the Star Dou Great Forest for his Seventh Soul Ring. 333 345

He sought the Sky Azure Bull Python and attempted to exploit its grief over Xiao Wu against Feng Xiaotian. Tang San and Gu Rong later launched a hidden-weapon ambush on Feng Lieyang, but Feng Xiaotian's allies foiled the attack. 351 352

Tang San witnessed Feng Xiaotian kill the Sky Azure Bull Python and become the youngest Titled Douluo. He was forced to retreat after recognizing the vast gap between their forces. 354

Tang San's appearance changed drastically after the evolution of his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul and the inheritance connected to the Blue Silver Emperor.
