Background

Origins and early cultivation

Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast Blue Silver Emperor in human form. His mixed heritage accounts for his Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer Twin Martial Souls. 248 263

Dugu Bo took Tang San to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he cultivated for half a year, developed immunity to water and fire, and changed his relationship with Dugu Bo from hostility to friendship. He also took Immortal Herbs from the site to assist his Shrek teammates' cultivation. 23

Soul Master Tournament

By the tournament, Tang San possessed a Ten Thousand Year Fourth Soul Ring and used Blue Silver Entanglement as an area-control technique. His first four rings matched Feng Xiaotian's configuration. 39 46

He fought Feng Xiaotian after Dai Mubai had depleted much of Feng's Soul Power. Tang San used Tang Sect techniques, Blue Silver control skills, the Eight Spider Lances, and ultimately the Clear Sky Hammer, publicly exposing both his External Soul Bone and Twin Martial Souls. 92 93 94

Feng Xiaotian countered Tang San's Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and proved immune to the Eight Spider Lances' poison. Shrek conceded after Tang San suffered severe injuries, and his exposed Clear Sky Hammer made him a target for Spirit Hall. 95 97 114

Spirit Hall pursuit and later training

Bibi Dong ordered Yue Guan and Gui Mei to assassinate Tang San because he was Tang Hao's son, possessed the Clear Sky Hammer, and was Yu Xiaogang's disciple. Tang San and the Shrek Seven Devils survived the ensuing ambush only through Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo Chen Xin's intervention. 97 98

Tang San subsequently spent two years in the City of Slaughter, passed Hell Road, and acquired Divine Slaughter's Domain. He later studied at Moonlight Pavilion for nearly a year, where he learned noble etiquette, music, and improved control of his killing intent. 185 246

Return to Heaven Dou City

Tang Hao brought Tang San to meet his mother in her Blue Silver Grass form. Tang San absorbed her Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Soul Bone, which purified his Soul Power, strengthened the effects of the Immortal Herbs within him, and greatly enhanced his Mysterious Heaven Skill internal energy. 248

After finding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well destroyed, Tang San returned to Heaven Dou City. His evolved Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul had altered his appearance so drastically that even his former companions did not recognize him at first. He adopted the identity Tang Yin to evade Spirit Hall spies. 249 250

As Tang Yin, he treated the poisoned Emperor Xue Ye with Dugu Yan's assistance. He later revealed his true identity and lineage to Xue Beng and Prince Xue Xing, proposing hidden weapons as part of their defense against Xue Qinghe's planned coup. 256 263

Palace coup, exile, and the Clear Sky Sect

During the Heavenly Dou Palace Coup, Tang San lost Yu Xiaogang, was repeatedly overwhelmed by Feng Xiaotian, and watched Xiao Wu disappear into Feng Xiaotian's Black Hole Space. Tang Hao enabled Tang San's escape, but Tang San later learned that his father had died. 302 304 314

He joined Dai Mubai in the Star Luo Empire, swearing revenge against the Heavenly Dou Empire under Xue Qinghe and Spirit Hall under Bibi Dong. 309

Tang San then returned to the Clear Sky Sect, defeated Tang Hu and the Seventh Elder, and earned recognition as a Direct Disciple. The elders required him to reach Level 85 within ten years, kill a Martial Soul Hall Titled Douluo, and obtain a Hundred-Thousand-Year Eighth Soul Ring. 318 319

Star Dou Great Forest conflict

After helping relocate the Clear Sky Sect to Star Luo City and forging three thousand Godly Zhuge Crossbows for the Star Luo military, Tang San entered the Star Dou Great Forest for his Seventh Soul Ring. 333 345

He sought the Sky Azure Bull Python and attempted to exploit its grief over Xiao Wu against Feng Xiaotian. Tang San and Gu Rong later launched a hidden-weapon ambush on Feng Lieyang, but Feng Xiaotian's allies foiled the attack. 351 352

Tang San witnessed Feng Xiaotian kill the Sky Azure Bull Python and become the youngest Titled Douluo. He was forced to retreat after recognizing the vast gap between their forces. 354

Appearance

Tang San's appearance changed drastically after the evolution of his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul and the inheritance connected to the Blue Silver Emperor. Following his City of Slaughter and Moonlight Pavilion training, he also carried himself with a markedly more mature and refined demeanor. 250 257

  • Was initially unrecognizable to his Shrek companions upon returning to Heaven Dou City. 250
  • His evolved Blue Silver Emperor lineage is cited as the cause of his physical transformation. 257 263
  • Has manifested the Eight Spider Lances from his back as an External Soul Bone. 93

Personality

Tang San is a highly analytical combatant who studies opponents' abilities, adapts tactics mid-battle, and uses his perception and control skills to seek openings. He also demonstrated political foresight by forming an alliance with Xue Beng and Prince Xue Xing and proposing hidden-weapon preparations against a coup. 92 263

He is fiercely devoted to those close to him, particularly Tang Hao, Xiao Wu, Yu Xiaogang, and his Shrek comrades. The loss or endangerment of these people repeatedly drives his actions. 304 309 321

His rivalry with Feng Xiaotian has also exposed a destructive side: repeated defeats, jealousy over Feng's talent and Soul Bones, and grief over Xiao Wu often push Tang San into rash or desperate decisions. 254 294 296 352

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer, making him a Twin Martial Soul wielder. 94 263

  • Blue Silver Emperor — His primary Control System Martial Soul; evolved from Blue Silver Grass through his maternal lineage. 263 302
  • Clear Sky Hammer — A top-tier Tool Martial Soul used for overwhelming direct offense and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. 94 295
  • He could not initially control the Clear Sky Hammer's Tool Martial Soul True Body due to its extreme consumption of Soul Power, physical strength, and soul force. 112

Blue Silver Emperor control techniques

Tang San specializes in binding, poisoning, restricting, and piercing attacks through the Blue Silver Emperor.

  • Entanglement — Restrains opponents with Blue Silver Grass. 92
  • Parasitism — Causes Blue Silver Grass to emerge around a target. 93
  • Spider Web Restraint — Creates a tough, corrosive, toxin-bearing web for confinement. 93
  • Blue Silver Prison — Forms a cage of Blue Silver Emperor vines; its evolved version can produce spikes and is enhanced by the Blue Silver Domain. 302
  • Blue Silver Overlord Spear — Condenses Blue Silver Emperor Soul Power into a powerful single-target golden spear. 302

Tang Sect techniques

Tang San supplements his Martial Souls with close-combat, movement, perception, and hidden-weapon techniques.

  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — An evasive movement technique; its speed was further improved through his Hundred-Thousand-Year Right Leg Soul Bone. 93 302
  • Mysterious Jade Hand — Hardens his hands enough to exchange blows with Feng Xiaotian's wolf claws. 93
  • Purple Demon Eye — Lets him perceive rapid movements and analyze techniques that ordinary spectators cannot follow. 55
  • Mysterious Heaven Skill — His internal cultivation method; its internal energy greatly increased after he absorbed the Blue Silver Emperor Soul Bone. 248

Domains

Tang San possesses two innate domains.

  • Divine Slaughter's Domain — Acquired after passing Hell Road; produces intense killing intent and can be inscribed onto the Clear Sky Hammer to strengthen his attacks. 185 295
  • Blue Silver Domain — Enhances his Blue Silver Emperor techniques, including the strength of Blue Silver Prison. 302
  • He can activate both domains simultaneously to withstand pressure or reinforce his offensive techniques. 317 318

Soul Bones

  • Eight Spider Lances — External Soul Bone carrying cold poison, heat poison, and Man Faced Demon Spider poison; can also absorb poison from other victims. 114
    • The Lances were badly damaged during the tournament and shattered by Feng Xiaotian's Titan Sky Cannon. 113 296
    • Their unrecovered remnants began cracking again under later pressure. 303
  • Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Soul Bone — Inherited from his mother; purifies Soul Power, enhances internal energy, improves recovery, and strengthens his movement. 248 293 316
  • Twenty-Thousand-Year Left Arm Soul Bone — Rewarded by the Star Luo Emperor after Tang San's contributions; its absorption enabled his breakthrough to Level 70. 345

Poison knowledge and detoxification

Tang San uses both poison and antidotes as part of his combat and medical skill set.

  • His Blue Silver Grass and Eight Spider Lances possess dangerous toxins. 47 114
  • He extracted poison from six opponents using fragments of the Eight Spider Lances. 114
  • He treated Emperor Xue Ye for several days with Dugu Yan's Green Scaled Snake Poison as part of his treatment plan. 254 256
  • Feng Xiaotian's poison immunity undermined Tang San's confidence in poison as a decisive weapon. 114

  • Modified Godly Zhuge Crossbow — Used in a surprise attack against Feng Lieyang. 351
