"Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, is about to have a son. He has specially invited Suye God to attend the God's Son Banquet. You may set the time."
Hearing this, the mages rolled their eyes. Old Thoth's invitation was so ridiculous it was almost laughable. If Suye did not go, would the child not be born? If Suye went tomorrow, would Thoth have a premature cesarean?
"The Northern European goddess of love and beauty, Freya, heard that Suye God has never married, so she has specially invited Suye God to attend a divine banquet."
The Divine Envoy's voice was filled with strange temptation. Even the old mages blushed, wishing they could attend the banquet with Suye.
Suye shook his head. Everyone knew about his affair with Pallas, and many could guess the truth, but their marriage could not be publicly announced.
Divine radiance flashed again and again as one Divine Envoy after another descended.
Invitations from the gods arrived at the City Lord's Mansion like snowflakes.
The war review meeting was completely ruined, so Suye could only announce that the review would be held tomorrow.
In the Meeting Hall, Suye's avatar helplessly stared at the invitations floating before him. They came in various colors, but all glittered with golden light.
Most of the banquets were either impromptu or had been moved forward. Their intentions were far too obvious; they had practically been arranged specifically for Suye.
Thetis's avatar sat on the steps beneath Suye, smiling up at him.
After a long while, Suye seemed to realize something.
"Something's wrong."
Thetis, dressed in white with golden hair, smiled sweetly. She rested her lotus-root-white arm on Suye's leg and asked, "My Father, why?"
"You noticed it too." Suye lowered his head.
"I don't know." The corners of Thetis's lips curved slightly.
