Background / History

Zeus was the third Greek Godking, succeeding Cronus after Rhea's intervention enabled Zeus and the Titans to overthrow him. He later turned against the Titans, founded the Olympian Pantheon, and established his own rule over Greece 934.

To avert a prophecy that Metis's son would overthrow him, Zeus swallowed Metis while she carried Athena. Athena was nevertheless born from Zeus's skull; her existence and connection to Metis remained a source of tension between father and daughter 105 924.

After ascending as Godking, Zeus crushed or absorbed Greece's older divine systems. He sealed the Titan Pantheon, swept aside the Gigantes, suppressed the Night Pantheon, and drove out the Old Sea Pantheon while accepting gods willing to submit to his new order 917.

Zeus repeatedly treated civilizations and worlds as expendable components of a larger plan. He destroyed prior Greek eras, used Pandora's Box to cripple ancient Greece, cultivated noble bloodlines in the mortal world, and harvested human souls to sustain the God Realm 956 987. His intended path to the highest rank was to destroy worlds, absorb their creation power, and recreate reality under his own control 976 1218.

Appearance

Zeus's manifested avatar appeared as an elderly man in white robes, with a white beard and silver curly hair. Despite his age, his semi-transparent spirit body was muscular and unwrinkled, and his presence was painful for weaker gods to behold 1095.

• In battle, he appeared bare-chested with half-black, half-white hair and eyes resembling rotating thunder stars 1202.
• After recovering from Aristotle's attack, his hair became entirely white while his face remained youthful 1233.
• His full power manifested as World Destruction Zeus, a colossal figure whose presence caused surrounding stars to explode 1235.

Personality

Zeus was calculating, suspicious, and intensely protective of his position. His fear of being overthrown shaped his treatment of Metis, Athena, Heracles, Cronus, and potential rivals across the Greek divine system 924 987.

He presented world destruction as an act of benevolence: by eliminating conflict and rebuilding reality under a single ruler, he claimed he could create a better world. Gaia rejected this reasoning, arguing that Zeus's own cycle of violence would merely reproduce the cruelty of prior Godkings 1218.

Zeus possessed enough self-awareness to recognize Suye as an exceptional threat. He repeatedly admitted to underestimating Suye, then attempted to recruit him as his successor rather than immediately destroy him 1095.
