"Thank you for the compliment." Loki stood ramrod straight and impeccably polite, looking exactly like an experienced old butler.

"May I ask why you came here?" Suye asked.

Loki shrugged. "You Norse gods are all the same—colder than the last, and better than the last at burning bridges after crossing them. If it hadn't been for my help back then, the three of you—father, brother, and sister—would probably have been thrown into the Land of Death by Odin to feed the undead."

"By 'help,' do you mean spreading rumors that I sold myself for a golden necklace, then turning me into Odin's leverage and making our family a laughingstock? I'd rather not have that kind of help!" Freya sneered.

Loki shrugged again. "So many years have passed, yet I didn't expect you to still hold a grudge over this. How about this? If you defect from the Odin Pantheon, I'll announce to the Infinite Plane that I was the one who slept with four dwarves for that necklace. How does that sound?"

"Get lost!" Freya forced the word through clenched teeth and extended her right hand. Golden light descended, and the High-Grade Divine Artifact Golden Flower Staff fell into her grasp.

"Grr..." The two Giant Cat Magic Eagles roared angrily at Loki again
