The monsters in the distance trembled faintly. Who could have imagined that a mere legendary spell could kill so many monsters?

They stared in horror at the enormous diamond crater, watching the densely packed diamond fragments gradually change color until they finally became ordinary red stones of the Deep Prison Plain.

Amid the fragments filling the crater, one powerful legendary monster after another emerged. Some turned and fled immediately, while others were driven wild and charged furiously at Suye.

Suye frowned slightly.

There had been at least fifty legendary monsters caught in Earth Burial Song, but most had crawled out with severe injuries. In the end, it had only killed five.

I still need more practice.

However, the monsters were nearly scared out of their minds.

Monsters were far stronger physically than humans and ordinary lifeforms. Even the legendary Purgatory Demon King's signature spell, Purgatory Burst Flame Technique, needed to hit a legendary lifeform more than a dozen times in succession to kill it.

The only spells capable of killing a legendary monster with a single cast were powerful single-target spells, such as Flame Coffin, Heart Burst, Soul Shackles, or Extreme Cold Freeze. Even then, it was merely possible, not guaranteed. After all, legendary monsters possessed all kinds of life-saving methods.

Could this Purgatory Demon King be the legendary demon king wizard?

A mighty Purgatory Demon King who had switched to becoming a wizard, warlock, or priest would certainly be the most terrifying existence.

Otherwise, how could he kill five legendary monsters and severely injure so many others with a single spell?

The blood war was cruel, but that was only true for monsters below the legendary level. Monsters above the legendary level did not have a high mortality rate.
