Ch. 662Sea God Priest

Suye survived the merfolk’s attempt to kill him when the Fish God statue instead blessed him and marked him as a Sea God Priest. After learning about the Whale Kingdom’s Old Sea Gods and their followers, he followed the merfolk to their hidden treasure store and began collecting its riches.

  • The Fish God statue’s beams passed through Suye’s Ocean City, gave him colorful fin-like wings, and led the five Sanctuary merfolk to recognize him as a Sea God Priest.
  • Suye questioned the merfolk, who admitted they had tried to use the statue to kill him and explained the Whale Kingdom’s hostility toward the new Greek gods.
  • Suye entered the ancient temple and ordered the merfolk to contribute their strength to the Sea God’s cause.
  • The merfolk led Suye through a secret water route to their underwater treasure store, where he collected valuable pearls, gemstones, potion grasses, and magic materials.

Ch. 663Black Tooth

Suye accepted the merfolk’s offerings and established himself as the Sea God Priest, then questioned the Saint Realm merfolk about the Whale Kingdom and collected their sea charts. He claimed the Fish God statue and recruited Black Tooth to accompany him on an important mission.

  • Suye collected Spatial Sea Snails and Saint Realm fish scales from five merfolk, who praised him as the Sea God Priest.
  • Red Scale led Suye to the temple, where the five merfolk beat a white-scaled Saint Realm merfolk for insulting Suye.
  • Black Tooth recognized the Colorful Light Fin, prostrated himself before Suye, and helped explain the merfolk tribes and the Whale Kingdom.
  • Suye examined the merfolk’s sea charts, uncovered hidden locations, and claimed the Fish God statue.
  • Suye asked the gathered merfolk to follow him on an important mission, and Black Tooth immediately volunteered.

Ch. 664Black Coral City

Suye agreed to escort Black Tooth’s tribe to Black Coral City and learned that the city’s aging ruler, Silver River, faced growing political threats. After gathering minor treasures along the way, Suye brought the fishmen to the bustling underwater city.

  • Black Tooth asked Suye to take his battered tribe to Black Coral City, and Suye agreed after studying the route and its nearby Whale Bone Mines.
  • More than a thousand fishmen loaded their treasures onto Suye’s Water Ship, which set sail with the Fish God statue aboard.
  • Black Tooth tried to learn why the Sea God had sent Suye and whether he would stay in the Whale Kingdom, but Suye deflected his questions and asked about the Godslayer.
  • Suye visited several marked locations on the journey, found only minor gains, and deterred watching sea races with his bee nest and the Fish God statue.
  • Suye and the fishmen reached Black Coral City, where they saw its brightly lit underwater settlement and busy inhabitants.

Ch. 665Sea God Festival

Suye explored Black Coral City during the lead-up to the Sea God Festival, then sold outside goods and began shopping for Whale Kingdom treasures. After learning that valuable markets were restricted to High Merfolk, he considered revealing his identity as a Sea God Priest to gain access.

  • Red Scale told Suye that the Sea God Festival was approaching, and Suye decided to explore Black Coral City.
  • Suye bought residential qualifications and a colorful water-grass headdress, then toured the festival’s market and attractions with Black Tooth and the other fishmen.
  • Suye visited the high-end magic-item district and learned that outsiders’ sales had driven purchase prices down, though he could still make a large profit.
  • Suye sold half his stock for six million Purple Shell Coins, then found that many of the goods he wanted were scarce or overpriced.
  • Black Tooth explained that restricted trading venues served High Merfolk and suggested Suye could enter only by revealing his Sea God Priest identity.

Ch. 666Tooth Pattern Grass

Suye discovered that Tooth Pattern Grass could greatly accelerate his Magic Tree’s growth because he possessed the Giant Whale Duke’s bloodline, and he began buying it in bulk. He left Black Tooth and Red Scale supervising the supply while Black Tail stayed to protect him in Black Coral City.

  • Suye sent Black Tooth and Red Scale to buy two million Purple Shell Coins’ worth of goods, then asked them to find cheap, side-effect-free ways to help wizards grow.
  • Black Tooth explained that Tooth Pattern Grass was abundant, inexpensive, and effective when eaten fresh, and Suye learned it could be stored in White Pattern Sea Snails.
  • Suye tested Tooth Pattern Grass and found that its power entered his Magic Tree far more strongly than expected because of his Giant Whale Duke bloodline; he settled on six strips a day.
  • Suye ordered Black Tooth and Red Scale to buy fresh Tooth Pattern Grass by the White Pattern Sea Snail, and Black Tooth soon delivered twelve newly harvested snails.
  • Suye rejected one shipment for its poor appearance and assigned Black Tooth, Red Scale, and the other fishmen to oversee quality and harvesting, with Red Scale and Black Tail staying to protect him.

Ch. 667Koi (Third Watch)

Suye joined the Sea God Festival procession and became the center of attention as Water Elementals and fishman girls covered him in tokens of affection. Near the Upper District, he encountered several groups of outsiders before Black Tooth and Jinlin escorted him through the gate to visit Jinlin’s shop.

  • Suye asked Black Tooth to continue buying Tooth Pattern Grass and arranged to meet Jinlin at the Ancient Whale Archway during the Sea God Festival.
  • Suye searched for outsiders who could record the history of the Old Gods but found none and returned to his lodgings to study.
  • Suye joined the festival procession with Red Scale, Black Tail, and six Golden Warriors, where Water Elementals and fishman girls covered him with Love’s Blessings and bright scales.
  • At the Upper District gate, Suye saw the black dragon, Yixinna’s group, the Egyptian Holy Domain members, and the Norsemen, who cheered for him.
  • Black Tooth and Jinlin escorted Suye through the twin-whale gate, and Jinlin began speaking with him as they walked.

Ch. 668Propagation and Followers

Suye and Jinlin agreed to exchange magical knowledge and cultural history between humanity and the merfolk, with both sides contributing knowledge rather than money. Jinlin offered to supply Tooth Pattern Grass for free once Suye’s teachings impressed Black Coral City, and Suye agreed to sell a merfolk statue before leaving the Whale Kingdom.

  • Jinlin explained why Black Coral City trusted Suye more than other outsiders and offered to organize daily supplies of Tooth Pattern Grass.
  • Suye agreed to share his magical knowledge and human history in exchange for the merfolk’s knowledge, heritage, and culture.
  • Suye told Jinlin that sharing knowledge could help civilizations learn from one another and that closed systems would perish.
  • Jinlin promised to seek Elder Island’s approval to open more merfolk knowledge and history to Suye, noting that troubled times might be coming.
  • Jinlin offered to supply Suye with Tooth Pattern Grass for free after his knowledge made a sensation, while Suye would still pay for Spatial Sea Snails.
  • Suye agreed to sell his merfolk statue before leaving the Whale Kingdom, and Jinlin proposed a price of one million Purple Shells.

Ch. 669Upper District Plaza

Suye traded with Jinlin, bought treasures at the Collection Shop, and attended Black Coral City’s Sea God Celebration as a guest. The celebration’s sacrificial battles began, and Jinlin suggested Suye fight, but Suye declined.

  • Suye and Jinlin negotiated an exchange of Sealing Crystal Balls for Whale God Marrow and discussed Black Coral City’s need for magical equipment.
  • Suye bought discounted antiques and a Six Rings treasure at Jinlin’s Collection Shop, then discussed the whale kingdom’s collections with him.
  • Jinlin invited Suye to the Sea God Celebration and brought him to Upper District Plaza, where he introduced Suye to his friends and relatives.
  • Suye watched the merfolk’s sacrificial rites, feast, and bloody battles at the celebration.
  • Jinlin asked whether Suye wanted to enter the sacrificial battles, but Suye declined.

Ch. 670Shark

At the end of the Sea God Celebration, Shark arrived with powerful allies and declared his intention to seize control of Black Coral City after Silver River’s death. Suye declined to support either side, and Shark’s attention turned to him when he learned Suye was searching for the Plane Heart.

  • Suye attended the end of the Sea God Celebration and received a large purple gem as Shark and his followers arrived.
  • Hamorro warned Suye that Shark planned to overthrow the Elder Island, had poisoned the Silverwhite Family, and had secured outside reinforcements.
  • Shark announced Silver River’s death and demanded to become King of Black Coral, threatening anyone who opposed him.
  • Shark tried to question the Elder Island families, but Jinwen and the other elders pretended to faint, leaving Suye exposed.
  • Shark offered Suye wealth in exchange for support, but Suye said he wanted to avoid the city’s internal conflict and continue searching for the Plane Heart.
  • Hamorro told Shark that the Miletus School valued Suye and that Master Thales had personally seen him off.

Ch. 671Nobody Can Stop Me from Doing My Homework

Suye’s connection to Thales protected him from Shark’s threats while the fishman families split into rival camps. When Suye tried to leave to do his homework, Shark blocked him and the crowd erupted over Red Scale’s claim that Suye was the Sea God Priest.

  • Suye told Shark that Thales had praised him, and Shark softened while Jinlin warned Suye that Black Tooth had tried to test him.
  • Shark pressured the fishman families to submit, but roughly half gathered around Suye and the Colorful Scale Family instead.
  • Suye decided to leave the square to do his homework, and Shark stopped him and declared that nobody could leave until a city lord was chosen.
  • Shark enlarged himself and revealed a Heroic Golden Trident as Suye’s followers halted their departure.
  • Red Scale declared Suye the Sea God Priest, prompting Shark’s supporters to call him an impostor and Suye’s side to defend his claim.

Ch. 672Sea God's Gate

Suye proved himself to be a Sea God Priest when he survived the Sea God's Punishment, forcing Shark to seek his support in a bid to become city lord. As Shark revealed the approaching sea demon threat, Sea God's Gate opened and a vast army poured into Black Coral City.

  • Shark agreed to test Suye with God's Punishment, and Suye stood unharmed as the Sea God statue's divine light filled him.
  • The Merfolk and human teams recognized Suye as a Sea God Priest, while Caska urged Hamorro to remember that fear had made them abandon a friend.
  • Shark embraced Suye and asked him to help secure the city lord position, but Suye refused to join his cause.
  • Shark warned that sea demons were coming to attack Black Coral City during the Sea God Festival and implied he might have leaked news of Silver River's death.
  • Sea God's Gate rose from the sea, and a huge army of sea demons, Merfolk, Water Elements, and Sea Magic Beasts emerged through it.

Ch. 673Siren King

The Siren King’s forces emerged from Sea God’s Gate and prepared to attack Black Coral City, while Poseidon’s priests, Revenge Temple, and the Witch Hunt plotted to find the Plane Heart and kill mages, including Suye. In the city, Shark demanded to be made city lord before helping defend against the sirens, as Suye checked the remaining items on his schedule.

  • The Siren King arrived with millions of sirens, a Troll Turtle, and a fleet of Shell Carriages.
  • Poseidon’s priests offered the Great Judge and Mandru advancement to Hero if they found the Plane Heart, and Mandru agreed to hunt Suye and kill Light.
  • The group used a mirror to inspect Black Coral City and identified Light as a target for Mandru.
  • The sirens surrounded Black Coral Island, prompting its fishmen to assemble for battle.
  • Shark refused to fight unless he was made city lord and claimed he could defect to the Siren King if the fishmen rejected him.
  • Suye reviewed his Magic Book schedule and saw that only his homework or a test paper and going to bed early remained.

Ch. 674Philosopher of Life

Shark admitted he had betrayed the Silverwhite Family, while Suye tried to leave Black Coral City rather than join the fishmen's conflict. After Suye summoned the Giant Whale Duke, the Siren King withdrew, but eight enormous mountains rose from the seabed around the Siren army.

  • Shark confessed that the Siren King had bribed him and explained that he planned to seek the city lord's position before joining the Sirens if he failed.
  • Suye refused to take sides in the fishmen's war and tried to leave to do his homework, but Shark's followers formed a wall to stop him.
  • Suye used Whale Song Summoning to manifest a gigantic Giant Whale Duke, frightening the fishmen and prompting the Siren King to offer an immediate withdrawal.
  • Mandru dismissed the threat and released his legendary aura, but the seabed split and eight vast mountain ranges rose around the Siren army.
  • The Siren King withdrew the Sea God's Gate and vanished as the Troll Turtle struggled against the waves.

Ch. 675North Sea Kraken

A demigod North Sea Kraken trapped and swallowed the million-strong Siren army attacking Black Coral City, and the fishmen credited Light with summoning it. Light left to do his homework while the city celebrated and the others realized the attackers had included priests of Poseidon and the Revenge Temple, a Witch Hunt group, and the legendary warrior Mandru.

  • The Great Judge escaped the Shell Carriage, but eight enormous tentacles closed around the Siren army and trapped Mandru, the Troll Turtle, and the Great Judge inside.
  • The tentacles swallowed the entire Siren army, while the resulting waves battered Black Coral City until the Sea God Statue's light calmed the ocean.
  • Shark led the fishmen in proclaiming Light the Sea God Priest, and Suye ignored Yixinna's proposal and left to do his homework.
  • Shark claimed that Light had summoned the North Sea Kraken, and the people of Black Coral City resumed their celebration.
  • The Norsemen, Persians, and Greeks discussed the Kraken and Light's connection to the Old Sea God, then identified Poseidon's priests, Revenge Temple priests, Mandru, and suspected Witch Hunt members among the attackers.

Ch. 676The Candidate

As High Merfolk crowded Suye’s home to pay their respects, Shark forced his way inside and asked to become Black Coral City’s lord. Suye challenged him to choose between remaining a bandit chief and pursuing greater ambitions, and Shark declared that he wanted to change the Whale Nation and become a god before explaining why he saw no path to Demigodhood.

  • High Merfolk and other merfolk crowded Suye’s home, while Shark arrived with his followers and bribed Black Tooth and Red Scale to favor him.
  • Shark repeatedly knocked on Suye’s door until Suye let him in, then asked to pay his respects and discussed his desire to rule Black Coral City.
  • Suye offered Shark a deal: help gather wealth and find the Plane Heart, and Suye would let him manage the Whale Nation after becoming Plane Master.
  • Suye warned Shark that he would not work with a bandit chief, and Shark declared that he wanted to change the Whale Nation, enter the Infinite Plane, and become a god.
  • Shark explained that sacrifices, hidden advancement methods, cultivation, and luck offered him no apparent route to the Demigod realm.

Ch. 677The Luckiest Person

Suye displayed his Domains and treasures to Shark, then accepted Shark’s oath and granted him the True Name Shark-Fies-Pentos. After discussing their next moves, Suye decided to build Black Coral City’s power and unite the sea clans.

  • Suye demonstrated sixteen Domain Powers, healed Shark with Heavenly Fortress, and showed him his Legendary items, Medusa’s Shield, and the Fountain of Youth.
  • Shark swore loyalty to Suye, who granted him the True Name Shark-Fies-Pentos; Shark knelt and wept with gratitude.
  • Shark explained why letting the Siren King flee could prevent revenge and help Black Coral City expand, while Suye said they would first consolidate their forces and expand gradually.
  • Suye reconsidered his approach to the Whale Kingdom and decided that supporting a growing force could bring greater gains than pursuing the Plane Heart alone.
  • Suye announced that his purpose was to unite the sea clans and asked Shark what he thought.

Ch. 678Cooperation

Suye discussed a naval campaign with Shark and then gathered Hamorro, Yixinna, and the other survivors to arrange cooperation and conceal the North Sea Kraken’s role in the deaths of the Greek nobles. They formed an oath-bound alliance, and Elsa reassured Suye that the gods were unlikely to openly target him over the incident, though their masks would soon come off.

  • Shark explained the ancient divisions among the sea tribes, and Suye said he planned to build wealth through a naval war while offering the sirens submission or resistance.
  • Shark warned that the Siren King might attempt to assassinate Suye, but Suye said he would take the risk into consideration.
  • Suye asked Hamorro, Yixinna, the black dragon, and the other groups to identify the human Legends who had been killed and proposed that they unite behind one account of the North Sea Kraken’s appearance.
  • Hamorro and Yixinna argued that Suye had saved everyone, and the Greeks, Egyptians, Norsemen, and dragon’s group agreed to swear an oath never to reveal what happened.
  • Suye asked whether the gods would trace the deaths of the priests and Great Judges back to him, and Elsa said they were unlikely to attack him openly over the incident, though that time was approaching.

Ch. 679Sowo

Suye organized cooperation between outside factions and Black Coral City, securing their help in protecting him while he prepared to expand the city’s power. After the Merfolk approved him as city lord and Shark as deputy, Suye met Sowo, an elderly Miletus School wizard who seemed to recognize him.

  • Suye discussed the Godslayers with the gathered factions, then exchanged information about Whale Country with them.
  • Suye proposed a city-state-scale partnership, offering outsiders rewards and priority in selecting Spoils of War in exchange for their cooperation and protection.
  • The black dragon lent Suye his Guardian Scale, and the factions signed a letter of intent for cooperation.
  • The Merfolk approved Suye as lord of Black Coral City, elected Shark as an elder and deputy city lord, and agreed to seize territory and treasures left by the Siren King.
  • A Merfolk reported that a powerful outsider had arrived seeking to serve Black Coral City, and Suye summoned him.
  • The newcomer introduced himself as Sowo, a senior of the Miletus School, and told Suye that seeing him made him realize how old he was.

Ch. 680The Expansion in the Sea

Suye welcomed the veteran Water Mage Sowo into his force and led a growing mermen army in a successful campaign against the Sirens while searching for the Plane Heart. Meanwhile, trouble mounted in Athens over Andre’s ambitions and Pallas’s proposed marriage, and Andre demanded answers about his father’s and the Great Judge’s deaths.

  • Suye verified Sowo’s history with the Miletus School, then welcomed him into the group after Sowo impressed the mages with his knowledge and Water Magic.
  • Suye led one hundred thousand mermen and more than one hundred Holy Domains against the Sirens, and the army returned a month later with three hundred thousand new followers and vast spoils.
  • Sowo used his Water Magic talents to protect the army, while Suye gained the Sea God’s blessing and became known alongside Shark as part of the Black and White Duo.
  • Suye continued expanding Black Coral City into the Black Coral Nation and searching for the Plane Heart as news spread that the new Revenge Temple Judge had died and the temples were arranging Andre’s ascension and marriage to Pallas.
  • Black-clad men attacked the Tross Family estate, while temple personnel were repeatedly beaten in Athens; Sisyphus publicly ordered the City Guard to find the culprits.
  • Andre cursed the temples for failing to identify who killed his father and the Great Judge, then asked whether the Fate Temple had discovered the killer’s identity.

Ch. 681King Suye

Andre threatened to torture Julie unless Suye came to apologize, provoking the Magic Council and temples and prompting invitations from rulers across the world. In the Whale Kingdom, Suye founded the Black Coral Nation, led its army toward the Sea of Mountains, and prepared to seek the Plane Heart.

  • Andre announced that he had captured Julie and would torture her daily until Suye apologized, while bargaining with the Revenge Temple for help advancing to Legendary.
  • The Magic Council stripped Andre of his Greek mage qualifications and barred him from magic markets, while temples and mages traded accusations and insults.
  • The Ice Queen, Ramesses II, Ajiman, and leaders from several Greek city-states invited Suye to their lands, making Athens a laughingstock.
  • Suye established the Black Coral Nation with Black Coral City as its center, became its first king, and named Shark heir apparent.
  • Suye ordered a search for the Plane Heart and led a two-hundred-thousand-strong allied army toward a Whale Bone Mine, reaching the transparent Sea of Mountains.
  • Suye convened the Council of Elders aboard the Water Ship, where his diverse Holy Domain subordinates, including the Bone Whale White Bone, gathered.
