No one knew what had happened to Shen Qian.
From their perspective, after Shen Qian absorbed that mysterious "Literary Rank," he had suddenly fallen into a daze, as though his mind had wandered beyond the heavens. Yet only a few breaths later, he abruptly snapped awake. Though he was clearly in soul form, he somehow looked drenched in sweat.
"Are you all right?" Li Muyi stepped forward and asked.
"I'm fine..."
Shen Qian waved a hand without answering. He was still unable to pull himself free from the scene he had just witnessed.
So this was how the Buddha Lord had fallen!
But why did it seem as though he had seen himself?
Still, this was not impossible to explain. Shen Qian did not know much about the Buddhist Dao, but he knew that Buddhism also emphasized karma and reincarnation. In other words, given Azure Lotus Buddha Lord's realm, it was not impossible for him to see Shen Qian of the future through some invisible connection.
At the time, he seemed to have made a downward-pointing gesture. He was hinting at something to Shen Qian, but that sea was clearly not Middle Sea. Perhaps he would only find the answer by going there.
What concerned Shen Qian most was that intangible, formless "mysterious visitor."
Though he had not felt it firsthand, Shen Qian had a powerful intuition: it was the thing that had once hunted him through the River of Time.
The "danger" Big Shot Gao had mentioned the last time he saw Shen Qian—the danger Shen Qian was still incapable of facing.
If Azure Lotus Buddha Lord had also fallen to that danger, then Shen Qian perhaps understood where all the Emperor-level powerhouses had ultimately gone.
Was this the existence Emperor of Heaven had said could not be mentioned?
