Kelon spent nearly two hours in total, but finally figured out Ether's condition inside and out.
The Fifth Element was a pineal gland. It did not need to be transplanted; once swallowed, it automatically fused with the human pineal gland.
After the fusion, the person's soul was transformed into a regular dodecahedron—an absolute existence!
This did not make him immune to Mental Distortion. Instead, all Mental Distortion effects were converted into nightmare-like pain and stored away.
After his death, when he entered a soul state, that pain would be continuously inflicted upon him.
The Fifth Element's only trait was that it guaranteed his self-awareness remained clear. As for whether he had control of himself, that was irrelevant. Thus, he could still be divinized.
All consciousness distortions suffered while he remained absolutely lucid would be postponed so long as he did not collapse. Even after death, he would have to pay them back!
And on that foundation...
The soul itself was immortal and indestructible. No magic or ordinary trait could erase it.
In other words, he was immortal and eternally self-aware.
He could even forever receive sensations from his body. Even if his body turned into particles and merged into nature, he would still deeply experience that entire series of torments until the end of time.
This could be called either a benefit or a price.
For a thousand years, ten thousand years, countless billions of years, or even eternity, he would never be able to rest. This was torment born of ultimate despair.
However, he could reincarnate—a passive reincarnation.
After the body died, the regular dodecahedron soul would slowly drift onto his biological descendants and possess them.
It would annihilate the soul of his biological son or daughter, then take over their body.
If he had no children—whether his children
