Appearance

Kelon is a bald man with heterochromia. During the period in which he contained Pandora's Magic Box, he became severely weakened, pale, and unable to stand without assistance 454 718.

Background / History

Kelon served the Blue White Society as its Minister of Containment and one of its Grand Arbiters. In this capacity, he favored practical value over suspicion: when Mo Qiong's origins were uncertain, Kelon argued that a person capable of bringing revolutionary containment power should be accepted and used, regardless of whether he might be a spy 454.

At some point, Kelon voluntarily entered the Fountain of Alaya. The process killed him once before a partner revived him, at the cost of permanently halving the Mental Power of humanity and of those who later awakened Mental Power 719. The modification made his body a Human Universe, allowing Pandora's Magic Box to be transplanted into him. An intelligent bacterial civilization developed in his lymphatic system and initially bore the disasters generated by the Box, while Kelon's own body suffered organ failure, mutations, cancer, hunger, illness, and an increasingly shortened lifespan 718 719 720.

Seeking a permanent answer to the containment crisis, Kelon consumed the Golden Apple for Root Perception and pursued the theoretical Heavenly Ghost state. He concluded that enough time spent perceiving root information might reveal an ultimate containment measure for Absolute Traits 755 756. Knowing that the Fifth Element could grant soul immortality, he had Mo Qiong retrieve its pineal gland and merged with it in the Valley of Terror despite opposition from the other Arbiters 757.

The Fifth Element preserved Kelon's soul as an indestructible regular dodecahedron, but condemned him to eternal torment whenever he died. Inside the Valley of Terror, he endured extreme isolation and torture by the Ancient Gods while they exploited his Root Perception to seek an escape from World Creation Mountain 805 807. He nevertheless covertly aided Mo Qiong by revealing information about the Ancient Gods' weaknesses 815 827.

After Mo Qiong's group rescued him from World Creation Mountain, Kelon remained trapped in an immortal dead state until the Insectoid Empress resurrected him. He accepted the Blue White Society presidency in order to remain alive, even as the Fifth Element left him with a limited lifespan 854 855 856. At his inauguration, he appointed Chimu as President's Arbiter and granted him authority to veto any of Kelon's decisions 869.

Kelon's fear of returning to eternal torment ultimately overtook his former restraint. He orchestrated an attempt to destroy the Apocalypse Chessboard and end the Containment Era by deleting the universe, released all three thousand Ancient Gods, and manipulated Society authority to advance his plan 968 971. Mo Qiong stopped him and eventually executed him, sealing both Kelon's body and immortal soul to prevent further interference with reality 973 975.

Personality

Kelon was initially magnanimous, pragmatic, and willing to take calculated risks for humanity. He judged people by their ability to contribute rather than by their origins, and believed that the Blue White Society should dare to employ anyone who followed its rules and could strengthen containment 454.

As a senior Arbiter, he could be notably empathetic. When Radian learned that any child of his would inherit the dangerous Tribulation Transcender Trait, Kelon refused to impose his own preference and presented him with the consequences of either choice 716. He also urged Mo Qiong to respect ideological enemies rather than dismiss their conviction or willingness to sacrifice 754.

His suffering gradually transformed this resolve into desperation. The Golden Apple, Fifth Element, and Valley of Terror gave him a path toward knowledge, but also subjected him to prolonged torment and the terror of an immortal death. After resurrection, his desire to survive became inseparable from his decisions; he eventually abandoned his prior principles in pursuit of a final escape from the Containment Era 855 968 973.

Pandora's Magic Box and the Fifth Element

His deteriorating condition reveals that he is personally containing Pandora's Magic Box through his Human Universe body. Determined to seek ultimate containment measures, he consumes the Golden Apple, arranges the theft of the Fifth Element, and enters the Valley of Terror 718 719 756 757.

Imprisonment in World Creation Mountain

Kelon becomes a Heavenly Ghost-like dodecahedral soul and is captured by Ancient Gods, who force him to use Root Perception for their escape efforts. He secretly supplies Mo Qiong with information while enduring their torture 805 807 815.

Resurrection and Presidency

The Insectoid Empress resurrects Kelon, ending his immediate torment. He accepts the Blue White Society presidency and appoints Chimu as a veto-wielding overseer, seeking to prove that he can still be trusted with power 855 856 869.

Rebellion and Final Containment

Driven by the desire to end both the Containment Era and his own immortal suffering, Kelon attempts to kill the Apocalypse Chess Player, releases the Ancient Gods, and seeks the deletion of the universe 968 971. Mo Qiong defeats him, then kills and seals him despite having promised to someday free him from his eternal torment 973 975.

• Kelon's first meeting with Mo Qiong included an experiment to determine whether Absolute Hit would still function if Kelon temporarily sealed the force applied to him 719.
• He kept unfinished carvings of the Three Pure Ones in his office and discarded them in visible regret after his return from resurrection 858.
