Background / History

Ye Wushuang lost the earlier contest for leadership of the Ye Family Sect to his brother, Ye Wudi. While Ye Wudi became Sect Leader, Wushuang became the Enforcement Hall Elder; the defeat left him unwilling to remain under his brother’s authority. 1

Over time, he built a personal power base within the sect, using rewards, informants, and political pressure to win over nearly half of the Ten Great Elders. His stated objective was to force Ye Wudi’s family aside and seize both the Ye Family and the sect. 3

When Ye Yang was severely injured by Qin Hao, Wushuang used the incident to strip him of his Young Sect Master benefits and threaten to remove his title unless he won the sect competition. He promoted his own son, Ye Fan, as the preferred replacement. 1 3

Personality

Ye Wushuang is ambitious, calculating, and highly opportunistic. He repeatedly exploits perceived weakness—first Ye Yang’s blocked meridians and later the false report of Ye Yang’s death—to move against Ye Wudi’s branch of the family. 1 70

Assassination Campaign

After Ye Yang’s recovery and rapid growth, Wushuang escalates from political pressure to murder attempts. He dispatches hidden operatives, arranges ambushes, and ultimately commissions the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion to place Ye Yang at the top of the Black List. 10 19 23

Attempted Sect Takeover

Defeat and Arrest
