Fortresses, trenches, and artillery and machine-gun emplacements—one Goblin after another took up position. A piercing alarm rang out across the entire mine.

After Tomorrow sounded three long blasts from its steam whistle, the battle officially began.

The cannons of the three Mobile Cities opened fire simultaneously, and a barrage of artillery instantly engulfed Gross Mine.

A shell whistled down onto a trench. Amid the bursting flames, dust sprayed in every direction.

However, the Goblins in the trench suffered few casualties. They were all on the ground with their elbows and knees down, clasping their hands over their heads to protect their ears, their mouths opened wide.

It was the standard prone position for defending against artillery fire.

One Goblin underling leader shouted himself hoarse, "Counterattack! Strike back at those damn humans!"

In an instant, all the cannons on Gross Mine opened fire.

Inside the cockpit, Tang Fang kept turning the wheel, maneuvering Tomorrow back and forth to evade the enemy's artillery fire.

With a roar, the Frost Cannon on Tomorrow fired.

A large fortress was hit and instantly transformed into an ice sculpture.

Then another Normal Cannonball struck, and the entire large fortress was blasted into countless shards of ice.

"Very good!" Li Ye nodded.

The Frost Cannon's power was indeed impressive. The only shortcoming was that it had far too few shells.

At that moment, Conqueror and Azure also opened fire together.

Relying on its Lava Treads, Conqueror nimbly climbed up the mountainside and fired down at the Goblins in the trenches below.

Although Azure did not have a Level 1 Artillery, it did have a Level 1 Heavy Machine Gun. It closed the distance to the mine and began a frenzied barrage. The fortresses the Goblins had built from ordinary bricks and tiles were like paper, pierced straight through by the gunfire.

Despite that, the Goblins' resistance was extraordinarily tenacious. Bullets and shells came raining toward the three Mobile Cities.

Tomorrow and Conqueror both possessed Level 1 City Armor, so they could withstand the assault. Azure, however, was beginning to struggle. After multiple City Components were damaged, it had no choice but to retreat temporarily.

Rows of Goblin Helicopters also charged in menacingly, but they were quickly shot down by Heavy Machine Guns and Rocket Launchers. Trailing blazing flames, they crashed and exploded, becoming burning fireballs.

To recover from their disadvantage, the Goblins brought out the Level 1 Artillery on the mountain.

Li Ye was startled when he saw it.

Judging from the shells the Goblins were loading, it appeared to be an Armor-Piercing Cannon.

They measured the distance, calculated the wind speed, and worked out the firing angle. The Goblin gunners quickly completed a series of actions and lit the shell's fuse.

The shell punched straight through the City Armor on Conqueror's flank.

"Concentrate your fire! Take out the Level 1 Artillery first!"

Li Ye came back to his senses and quickly gave the order.

At the same time, he couldn't help wiping the cold sweat from his forehead.

These Goblins had both helicopters and Level 1 Artillery. They were practically defying the heavens.

The battle continued for several hours before finally ending.

After retreating to a safe distance, the three lords met up.

More than half of the fortresses across the entire mine had been eliminated, and the two Level 1 Artillery pieces had also been taken out.
