Monster Mobile City

This time, one Common, one Excellent, two Rare, and one Superior piece of intelligence were refreshed.

1. There were sixteen Survivor Communities in the city. The largest was called "Firefly," and had 372 people. (Intelligence Value: Common)

2. There was a train station occupied by monsters on the western edge of the city. (Intelligence Value: Excellent)

3. On a commercial street twenty-five kilometers northwest, there was an overturned tanker truck containing a total of 543 units of petroleum. (Intelligence Value: Rare)

4. A Monster Mobile City was patrolling the city. Please exercise caution. (Intelligence Value: Rare)

5. The Level 1 Wild BOSS "Serene Lake Monster" had been subdued by the Silent. (Intelligence Value: Superior)

As usual, Li Ye began analyzing the intelligence.

First was the first piece.

A community.

This was a common gathering place for survivors in the City Ruins.

Compared with the wilderness, the City Ruins were more suitable for human survival.

There were three main reasons.

First, quite a lot of supplies could be found in the City Ruins.

Second, the City Ruins were filled with high-rises and buildings, providing plenty of places for survivors to hide. When powerful monsters or foreign convoys and Mobile Cities invaded their homes, they could use the buildings and sewers as cover to wage guerrilla warfare.

Third, well-preserved buildings such as small factories and power stations in the City Ruins could be used by survivors to improve their living standards.

Survivor Communities usually divided off an area, built tall walls and fences, farmed the land, and worked hard to achieve self-sufficiency. Communities generally existed in the form of whole families, with not only young people but also the elderly and children.

The second piece of intelligence aroused some interest in Li Ye.

There might be several trains stopped at the Train Station. Their carriages could be dismantled and smelted back into Iron Ore.

That was far easier than painstakingly smashing concrete to extract Steel Rebar.

The third piece of intelligence delighted Li Ye somewhat.

A tanker truck containing more than 500 units of petroleum—and it was nearby.

More than 500 units of petroleum was equivalent to more than 500 units of fuel. His Convoy had only just been built and was in urgent need of fuel. This time, they would have enough to last for quite a while.

The fourth piece of intelligence left him dumbfounded.

What the hell was a Monster Mobile City?

But after noticing that the Tomorrow had Level 1 Artillery, the Mobile City quickly abandoned the idea and fled in panic.

Only after the other side had gone far away did Li Ye order everyone to stand down from their alert.

Time trickled by, and soon it was deep into the night.

Li Ye, who had been fast asleep, was awakened by a series of faint tremors.

This was clearly a Mobile City!

The large point of light was its searchlight, while the smaller points were the lights on it.

"Should we prepare for battle now? No, the distance between us is too short." He muttered, "And there isn't enough time to get all the combat personnel into position."

He quickly aimed the Speaking Tube on the Watchtower.

"Tang Fang, are you there?"

A Bai's voice came through the Speaking Tube.

"Tang Fang fell asleep. Is something wrong, Brother Li?"

"Now. Activate the Tomorrow's City Camouflage immediately." Li Ye spoke softly.

"...Understood!"

As the City Camouflage activated, the Tomorrow instantly blended into its surroundings.

The next second, the other side's searchlight swept over.

However, all it illuminated was a cluster of old buildings.

"This thing really is useful." Li Ye could not help marveling inwardly.

Once again, the Tomorrow had escaped disaster thanks to its City Camouflage.

While feeling relieved, he glanced at the other side.

Since there was "nothing unusual" ahead, the Mobile City did not pay much attention either. It changed direction and entered another nearby street.

With the aid of the telescope and the lights on the other side's deck, Li Ye clearly saw what the Mobile City looked like.

It was, unmistakably, a Mobile City driven by Goblins!
