"Are you ready?"

At the Peak of Divine Mountain, in front of a palace complex, Cronus asked.

Although he was not leading the legislation, as the God King, he would also receive a share of the world's reward.

"Of course. What about your edict?"

Twelve hundred years had left no mark on Themis. On the contrary, years of traveling had made her gaze steadier and sharper. She looked at Cronus and asked him for the final thing needed for the legislation.

"Use this, the God King Scepter."

"My brother who rules the outer sea is truly overwhelming. Apart from Urea's Mountain God lineage and the heavenly Star God lineage, his descendants alone outnumber all the gods of the Khaos world combined."

Cronus's voice was calm. Even when speaking of Okeanos, he showed no particular emotion.

His former elder brother had fused the Essence of the Sea with the Origin of his Divine Office and forged the Poseidon's Scepter for himself, using it to command the seas. Cronus had followed his example and forged a God King Scepter of his own.

However, once the Poseidon's Scepter appeared, thousands of gods in the oceanic lineage obeyed its commands without question. As for Cronus's God King's Edict, no one had cared much about it even now.

His orders could not leave the Divine Mountain. That was the current state of Cronus. Even the earth had long since been occupied by countless River Gods, Lake Gods, and Mountain Gods. In their eyes, exactly where the God King ranked was an obvious fact that required no explanation.

"Following behind others isn't a good thing, Cronus. The gods will remember the first, but few will know the second."

Taking the scepter inlaid with three-colored gems, Themis reminded her younger brother.

It was a sentence she had heard from Lyanna, and the Goddess of Justice felt that it made a great deal of sense.

Over the past thousand years, she had often visited the Spirit World, then reproduced everything she had learned on Mount Othrys. She was not taking it without permission, because Ryan was more than happy to see her do so. Themis's actions not only caused him no loss, but also accelerated his absorption of the source power related to Khaos.

"Perhaps. But the strongest is also the first, isn't he?"

Cronus's voice was far more confident than it had been several centuries ago. Or rather, the growing position of the God King had given him that confidence. He had already decided to start taking action.

The God King had embedded three gems in the scepter, hoping that one day he could use it to command the sky, earth, and sea. When that day came, perhaps he would have the confidence to resist the curse left behind by the Sky Father, and even the unknowable Fate.

Unlike Cronus, however, Themis nodded at the God King's response while remaining pessimistic about her younger brother.

Unless he possessed power comparable to a Primordial God and became the King of the Gods in the truest sense, being "the strongest" would amount to nothing more than empty talk.

Yet Cronus simply could not achieve that through his Divine Office alone. The sky had the potential for Great Divine Power, because the Sky Father was the incarnation of the sky. But Cronus—even if Themis did not know that his origin was incomplete—had originally possessed only a little over thirty percent of the Space-Time Origin of the present world.

To become a true God King, one needed immense power. But to gain immense power, Cronus could only rely on the position of the God King. It was a complete dead end.

In later generations, Zeus would successfully break through the impasse with faith. But the Second Generation God King of this era did not have that option.

"I'm beginning."

Themis spoke softly and stopped delaying. Everything was ready, and she was already somewhat impatient.

Hearing this, Cronus hurriedly flashed away. When the legislation began, the rules of the entire present world would converge there. Aside from the legislator herself, not even a Primordial God would dare come into direct contact with the endless Law Chains at that moment.

After all, the so-called "present world" was actually the Khaos consciousness in the eyes of the gods. Even the law phenomena that appeared when a god was born only occurred in the present world and did not affect other places. True Khaos encompassed everything in the world, but what the gods came into contact with was only its order-oriented aspect. This part included most of the sky, all of the earth, most of the sea, and the core of the Underworld Soil.

Beyond the present world lay the Eternal Night Land, the Lightless Zone, the Bottomless Abyss, the edge of the starry sky and the sea, and some dangerous regions of the Underworld Soil.

There, Khaos's chaos-oriented aspect held sway. The power of the gods would even be weakened there, and only beings who had touched Great Divine Power could remain unaffected.

Seeing Cronus retreat, Themis pursed her lips. She stepped forward and stood at the highest point of the Divine Mountain.

The next moment, the Goddess of Justice gripped the God King Scepter tightly, and vast divine power began to surge from her body. It was not only the power of her Intermediate Divine Power, but also part of the God King Divinity temporarily bestowed upon her by the scepter.

Under the combined effect of divine power and divine authority, a part of Khaos's instinctive will, the laws of the present world, began to open its gates to the goddess under the guidance of the Divine Office of Law.

In an instant, Themis seemed to see the Chaotic Source Power that had accumulated between the Law Chains. It was a remnant from the beginning of creation, and it was not rare beyond the present world. But in a place dominated by order, its very existence made the flow of the laws far more sluggish.

Themis raised her right hand. Silently, the brass-colored ancient book—neither jade nor stone—opened its cover. New writing began to appear on the pages that had originally recorded the Calendar and the order of the Spirit World.

As part of the covenant, she used spirit-script to write. Thus, the parts of the original spirit-script connected to law were strengthened.

The divine power within her grew increasingly turbulent. As writing emerged on the Codex of Creation, chains of law manifested from the void and surged toward the Divine Artifact in a mad rush. During this process, not only did the Law Chains themselves seem to be "purified," but wisps of invisible power also emerged and were silently injected into the Codex, slowly strengthening its power.

The essence of this invisible power was extraordinarily high. With every additional wisp, the aura of the Divine Artifact grew stronger and more complete. Themis knew that this was the attribute-less source power transformed from Khaos's chaos. Apart from being used as a medium by the Codex, this source power also continuously poured into her body, becoming part of the Divine Office of Law.

Although Themis's divine power had not increased, her upper limit had been unlocked. The path toward Great Divine Power had already been paved before her.

Thus, under Cronus's gaze and the secret observation of the Lord of the Spirit World, the Goddess of Law raised the Codex high and declared to the laws of the world:

"I, the Lord of Law granted by Khaos, a naturally great Titan Ancient God, wielder of the God King Scepter, and writer of the Codex of Creation."

"In the name of order, I hereby make a covenant with the present world."

"."

......At the same time, when Themis raised the Codex high, an invisible ripple spread outward. Throughout the entire Khaos world, all gods with Intermediate Divine Power or above looked toward Mount Othrys.

There, the laws of Khaos's present world were being rewritten.

I swear, tomorrow I'll definitely finish revising the chapter I need to post ahead of time. Writing isn't particularly tiring for me, but once I've finished typing, I don't feel like revising it at all. I end up dragging it out until nighttime every time. Self-isolation.jpg
