Background / History

Wang Yi returned to his original low-magic world after spending three years in a magical world, where he became a Legendary Mage. On returning, he began pursuing a plan to create an artificial intelligence with a Resentful Spirit as its core, initially funding the project by selling songs. His body had also reached the standard of a Great Knight. 4

His first recorded encounter with Liu Xiaoke began after he accidentally frightened her near her rental room. He used Charm Person to calm her, then fabricated a story about escaping a pyramid scheme; influenced by the spell, Liu Xiaoke gave him money and invited him to join future acting jobs. 2

Wang Yi later accepted limited cooperation with his alma mater and the Science Institute. He agreed to make use of laboratories, equipment, and funding, but rejected a position that would compromise his independence or expose his secrets. He nevertheless affirmed that he would remain a Huaxia citizen. 23
