Jashin—Gatanothor!

Thirty million years ago, this ruler of darkness used Kijiera pollen to break humanity's will and wipe out the remaining Super Ancient Civilization. For the next thirty million years, he slept in the depths of the South Pacific. No one knew why he slept, but his purpose upon awakening was extremely simple: rule the world with darkness, and destroy everything along the way.

Gatanothor's reason for destroying the world was impossible to understand. There was no motive, no benefit. After destroying the world, he would just go back to rest. But from another perspective, it was worth pondering.

As everyone knew, a living organism contained organs, tissues, cells, and so on. Earth was like an enormous living organism—the oceans and continents were its organs and tissues, while mountains and rivers were its tiny cells. So what were humans?

Viruses!

Humans were viruses parasitizing organs, tissues, and cells. No matter how one analyzed it, one could not deny the damage humanity had inflicted upon Earth. Much like viruses could not survive after leaving their hosts, humans would find it difficult to survive after leaving Earth.

Ever since humanity had appeared out of nowhere, other lifeforms had suffered. Earth had been ravaged beyond recognition by humans, yet humanity's destruction of Earth had never stopped. How was that any different from viruses destroying cells within an organism?

Then there were natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and tsunamis. They were basically no different from a living organism's defensive regulatory system. Every time Earth trembled, it was actually clearing out the viruses within itself. It was just that the virus known as humanity was particularly stubborn, highly resistant to the body's defenses, and thus had not been completely eradicated all these years.
