Nature and Operation

The Spirit Realm is a mental world separate from the Material Realm. Users enter with their consciousness while their physical bodies remain where they connected; its sights, sounds, touch, and other sensations are indistinguishable from reality. 31

Its environments, matter, and sensory experiences are artificial and can be controlled. This allows it to function as both a convincing reality and a configurable illusion. 31

Access and Projection

Heaven Sword University deployed 84,000 Patrolling Sky Swords across Kunxu's Second Layer to form a Spirit Realm Network covering the entire layer. The Azure Silk Flying Sword can connect to this network. 312

Patrolling Sky Swords can also break through obstructions to restore a user's connection. Tian Yang used one to reconnect Zhang Yu after the Great Two Realms Separation Formation severed the team from the Spirit Realm. 391

Spirit Realm Caves

Dark Spirit Realm

The Dark Spirit Realm is a concealed spiritual world within or alongside the Spirit Realm, used by Evil Gods as a hidden channel for communication and access to Spirit Realm power. Fu Ji describes it as a secret part of the Spirit Realm accessible through knowledge held by Evil Gods. 546

Expansion

Xi Shen claims that the Dark Spirit Realm's users increased tens of thousands of times over four months. Its planned services include invitation rewards, free military-grade cultivation methods for consecutive check-ins, Spirit Realm friend-slot migration, encrypted Spirit Coin transfers, and soul-capture functions. 684

Xi Shen intends to rename it the Righteous Spirit Realm and use it to compete with the Spirit Realm across Layers 2 through 5. 684

Deep-Realm Anomalies

There is a legend that the Spirit Realm was built upon Demon Saints and that their cries or residual wills can be sensed in its depths. Zhan Xian considers the possibility plausible if the Realm's foundation is truly connected to them. 801

Zhang Yu's use of the Great Saint Researcher Chain Law Diagram once attracted a terrifying pressure from deep within the Spirit Realm, prompting Zhan Xian to warn him against repeating the attempt. 801
