Someone suddenly lowered their head to look at the ground.

The fungal blanket that had originally covered the ground was rapidly secreting vast amounts of blood mist.

All the blood mist automatically gathered and condensed into enormous blood-red lotuses, each as large as a bathtub.

These lotuses stood over a meter tall. Their petals were covered in densely packed crimson eyeballs. Countless roots beneath them served as legs, allowing them to move continuously.

They formed at incredible speed. In the blink of an eye, hundreds upon thousands of Blood Lotuses had appeared.

At the bottom of every Blood Lotus, amid its roots, grew a huge, gaping maw.

Inside, spiral rows of sharp teeth continually opened, closed, and writhed, enough to chew any flesh and bone to pieces.

From above, one could see exquisitely beautiful Blood Lotuses constantly moving and turning.

Yet from the field of vision of those on the ground, it was an entirely different, horrifying sight.

The Blood Lotuses shot out of the area covered by Great Ling's Blood Blanket, plunging one after another into the black earth. Their roots rapidly dug through soil and magma.

Yes, they were unafraid even of magma. Their black roots were like drilling machines, spinning and cutting at high speed. In the blink of an eye, they bored underground, rooted themselves in the earth, and became blood-red lotuses that seemed to have grown there from the very beginning.

Soon, cries of alarm rang out. Wherever the Blood Lotuses rooted themselves, countless red fungal spots rapidly grew in the surrounding black soil as well.

The fungal spots swiftly became the same dark-red Blood Blanket, connecting to the Blood Blanket surrounding Heavenly Curtain Pavilion.
