"What was that!?" In a Human Alliance town, a mother holding her child looked up at the golden light shining overhead, slightly stunned.

"Fireworks, fireworks!" the little girl in her arms cried happily and innocently.

"Is it some new lighting device?"

An Adapter who had just stepped out of a shop frowned up at the sky.

"There's no energy response. Perhaps someone made some kind of projection effect."

The sentry in charge of vigilance in the observation tower guessed.

But before everyone could come to their senses, the golden threads fell like raindrops.

Boom!!! The instant the first golden thread touched a building on the ground, a deafening explosion erupted.

Scorching explosions spanning a hundred meters burst forth throughout the town.

The ignorant crowds were utterly swallowed by the blast waves and firelight.

There was no pain, only instantaneous death. Hundreds of thousands of people, before they had even realized the danger, fell into eternal sleep.

It was not only the Human Alliance. The Spirit Alliance, the Perpetual Palace—every involved stronghold came under attack from the golden threads at that moment.

The populations that had multiplied and grown over two hundred years perished in that instant.

Towns with populations numbering in the hundreds of thousands exploded and were wiped out beneath the cover of golden threads.

Several million lives vanished in an instant.

"Did you see that? This is the ending." Long spread his arms, his voice carrying a trace of emotion.

"The ones who killed them were not me, but you. You planted the cause, and in the end bore the fruit—the fruit of sin."
