The High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion had arrived behind the main force of the Forest Trolls.
"Dawnblade Legion, in the name of sunlight!" Tyrel gripped the Quel'dorei Greatsword in his right hand and raised the Phoenix Banner of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas with his left.
Ten thousand High Elf Paladins stood in perfect formation, clad in Dawnblade Armor Sets. Their gazes were incomparably resolute, and the aura they radiated burned as fiercely as the sun.
"In the name of sunlight!"
Led by Tyrel, who held the Phoenix Banner aloft, the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion charged toward the rear of the Forest Troll main force.
The hatred between the Forest Trolls and the High Elves meant that when the Forest Troll Warriors at the rear saw the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion, they did not panic. Instead, they roared and launched a counterattack.
Tyrel charged at the very front. A Forest Troll far larger and stronger than the others came rushing at him with bared fangs and claws, its eyes fixed on Tyrel and the Phoenix Banner as a powerful murderous aura emanated from its body.
Scorching Solar Holy Light instantly filled the Quel'dorei Greatsword. Facing the enemy, Tyrel directly unleashed Crusader Strike. The greatsword swept through the air, and the Forest Troll fell at once.
Seeing Tyrel kill a Forest Troll Warrior with a single strike, the remaining Forest Trolls charged him together. They wanted to rely on their numbers to kill this High Elf holding the Phoenix Banner.
Facing the swarm of Forest Trolls, Tyrel showed no fear. The Holy Light Energy within him erupted, and the storm of Holy Light weapons formed by Divine Storm instantly sent every charging Forest Troll flying.
Tyrel's formidable display intimidated the other Forest Trolls. They stopped in their tracks and watched Tyrel, who held the Phoenix Banner, with caution.
"Hatred will not fade with time. Blood debts can only be cleansed with flame. Forest Trolls, only one side between us can claim this land. For my people, let me end all of this with fire." Tyrel murmured to himself. Since he spoke in the High Elves' Thalassian language, most Forest Trolls did not understand what he meant.
Due to their affinity for the arcane and the influence of the Sunwell, every High Elf could use magic. The only difference was the degree of mastery.
Tyrel's mentor, Scholar Prophet Volethal of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas, particularly valued Little Prince Tyrel's Arcane Talent. Thus, besides imparting knowledge, he also taught Tyrel many Mage abilities.
It could be said that Little Prince Tyrel had achieved something in four different professions—Paladin, Warrior, Mage, and Ranger—though his primary profession was Paladin.
Using Arcane Energy as the core to drive the element of fire—that was a fire Mage.
Powerful Arcane Energy emerged, tracing the magical matrix of Flame Storm. At the same time, Tyrel divided his attention and infused Holy Light Energy into the ground.
Crimson flames and blazing white Holy Light Flames surged upward in an instant, engulfing a large number of Forest Trolls before Tyrel.
Flame Storm and Consecration were area-of-effect abilities of Mages and Paladins respectively, yet Tyrel unleashed the abilities of two different professions at once. Magical flames and Holy Light Flames merged together, instantly devouring the lives of countless Forest Trolls. Not even the Trolls' formidable vitality could keep them alive beneath the burning of those two flames.
Watching the powerful Tyrel, Mylah Dawncaller could not help but sigh inwardly. Prince Tyrel's talent was simply too great. Though she too had devoted herself fully to studying the path of the Paladin, she could not compare to Prince Tyrel at all.
However, Mylah Dawncaller did not feel jealous. Instead, she felt immensely proud, because that was their prince—the Elf who had resolutely led the High Elves to Hearthglen to study the path of the Paladin.
"Prince Tyrel, I will not disappoint you." Mylah Dawncaller spoke within the depths of her heart, then erupted with Holy Light Energy and charged toward the Forest Trolls.
Tyrel's strength inspired the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion. Though they had never doubted the power of Paladins, after witnessing Tyrel's outburst with their own eyes, the hot blood within them began to race, and the Holy Light Energy in their bodies grew even more blazing.
Tyrel Sunstrider, holding the Phoenix Banner, now seemed like a dazzling sun in the eyes of the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion, showing them the way forward.
The Dawnblade Legion's morale soared in an instant. Like Mylah Dawncaller, they wielded Holy Light Energy as they charged toward their enemy, the Forest Trolls.
The Forest Trolls were used to bullying High Elf Rangers and rarely encountered High Elf Warriors on such a scale. Yet their enemies now were a group of strange Warriors clad in Dawnblade plate armor and wielding an energy unknown to them.
Aside from a small number of elites, the Forest Trolls' weapons were crudely made. This greatly reduced the damage they could inflict upon the High Elf Paladins in Dawnblade Armor Sets.
Even when they managed to wound a High Elf Paladin with great difficulty, the Paladin's injuries recovered at an astonishing speed under the healing of the Holy Light.
To prevent the newly established Dawnblade Legion from suffering heavy losses, Tyrel formulated a battle formation for the Dawnblade Legion based on the combat experience of the human Paladins he had learned from in Hearthglen.
Protection Paladins wielding one-handed weapons and sturdy shields, with formidable defensive power, charged at the front to withstand the Forest Trolls' attacks.
Retribution Paladins wielding two-handed weapons and possessing formidable destructive power followed behind the Protection Paladins, responsible for dealing damage.
Holy Paladins, who possessed powerful healing abilities like Priests, were protected in the center, where they healed their comrades' injuries.
Though the Dawnblade Legion, which was only beginning to show its edge and still had many Paladin recruits, did not advance at a particularly astonishing pace, the Paladins' ability to heal, fight, and withstand attacks left the Forest Trolls dumbfounded.
Back then, the High Elves of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas were skilled in magic but lacked Warriors who could hold the front line. After cooperating with the human Arathor Empire, those human Warriors clad in standard armor like iron cans had given the Forest Trolls terrible headaches.
Now, the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion were even more outstanding than human Warriors in terms of defense.
Setting aside the properties of the Holy Light, the Dawnblade Armor Sets worn by the Dawnblade Legion were far superior to the standard armor of the human kingdoms.
When speaking of the race most skilled in forging, one would naturally think of Dwarves.
Yet the forging standards of the High Elves of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas were equally superb. Even Stormfang, the divine artifact of the human Arathor Empire and the sword symbolizing the Human Emperor, only became a divine artifact after being reforged by the High Elves.
The High Elves' long lives allowed them to spend centuries studying their interests, giving High Elf smiths forging experience that exceeded the lifespans of both Dwarves and humans.
At the same time, the application of magic elevated High Elf forging far beyond ordinary smithing. High Elves could use magic to improve metal and create rare Enchanted Metal.
And once a weapon had been forged, magisters who specialized in enchantments could imbue it with even more powerful properties.
It could be said that the Dawnblade Armor Sets uniformly worn by the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion would become highly sought-after treasures if brought to any human kingdom beyond the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas.
If classified by quality, even the lowest-grade Dawnblade Armor Sets were of excellent quality, while the sets worn by the Paladin commanders of the Dawnblade Legion were epic.
