The connection to the Weave lasted only an instant.
Soren soon lost his connection to the Weave again, as though everything that had just happened had been an illusion.
Soren's expression grew grave. He had to determine whether he alone had connected to the Weave in that instant, or whether everyone had. If it was the former, the Goddess of Magic was very likely hiding on the Elemental Plane of Earth. If it was the latter, then the Goddess of Magic had returned for some reason.
Soren teleported back to Port Nyanzaru in an instant.
The moment he returned to Port Nyanzaru, he saw an excited Goria. There was no doubt that others had sensed the Weave too.
"The Goddess of Magic just activated the Weave!"
Goria was visibly excited as she murmured, "The Goddess of Magic hasn't fallen! The Weave reconnecting means she's still alive. She only disappeared for a while for some reason!"
The Weave still could not be accessed.
But that fleeting connection had undoubtedly proclaimed the Goddess of Magic's existence. She had not truly fallen.
This was tremendously significant to all spellcasters, especially those who had lost their ability to cast spells when the Weave collapsed. They would be the Goddess of Magic's staunchest supporters, because only by restoring the Weave could they regain their power.
Of course.
These people did not care who the Goddess of Magic actually was. All they cared about now was the existence of the Goddess of Magic and the Weave.
As a deity with greater divinity, the Goddess of Magic held extraordinary influence on the Material Plane. Besides the church that served her, she also had an order of knights made up of paladins, a small ranger organization, and a group of bards.
The Goddess of Magic's existence was essential.
