First Snow
The name sounds rather unpleasant.
In reality, this thing has only fired once so far, and although it directly killed an adult Black Dragon, it hasn't fired again since. Because it lost the Magical Energy Power Device from the Arcane Empire era, this Magical Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon is now just for show. In order to make it fire again, the Autumn Leaf Council even opened a Portal to the seabed and released a Quasi-Legendary- level mission. One shot from it can consume half a month's energy of a Floating City, and relying on Wizard ' magic to recharge it can only produce a few Electric Spark at most.
Don't be fooled by its resemblance to a lightning rod; it actually is a lightning rod.
These Magical Energy weapons are incredibly powerful, but their practicality is poor. They cannot attack Extraplanar or penetrate distorted space. The main recorded use of them is in the Abyss Battlefield, where the Arcane Empire used them to utterly annihilate Demon armies. A single shot could wipe out an entire Demon Legion; only High-tier Demon capable of Extraplanar could escape, while lower-ranking Demon were instantly vaporized. Currently, the only properly functioning Magical Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon exists only in [location missing].
That is a world of Constructed Life. The Challenge Rating there is 25, which is the level of Demigod and Divine Being!
Any living Hit Points that enters will be affected by high-intensity energy radiation. There are no wild plants on the surface; instead, there are only enormous gears, machines, and Constructed Life that have guarded this place for countless years. In the eyes of the druids, this place is more Hell than Hell itself, because the natural environment they believe in has been completely distorted. You can't see a single green thing in the entire world, only endless steel and a gray sky that looks like the end of the world.
Soren went there.
He was lucky enough to escape with his life.
"You know about it?"
Goria glanced at Soren beside her, then looked away from the Magical Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon. She sighed, "A weapon left over from the Arcane Empire era, possessing power approaching that of Artifact. Unfortunately, its use is too limited." (Dragonkind)
The dragons of this world are second only to the Gods in power. They are not just beasts that can breathe Dragon Breath. The Dragonkind of this world can cast Spell. In addition to their powerful melee combat abilities, they are also equivalent to a Sorcerer. An Adult Dragon can cast Eighth-Circle Spell, and a slightly stronger one can cast Ninth-Circle Spell.
They have as many Spell as Wizard!
However, their spellcasting style is turret-like, similar to that of Sorcerer. The types of Spell they master vary depending on the type of Dragonkind, and the challenge of defeating Adult Dragon requires a complete Legendary Adventurer team with only a 50% chance of success. Dragonblooded Sorcerer are the most typical overpowered class of Spellcaster, as these guys only inherited one-third of the Dragonkind's abilities.
It might be influenced by the story.
Once, someone went to slay Warrior Dragon Slayer with great excitement, only to be trapped by a Maze. Then, a Greater Shout Stun the entire group. When the Warrior emerged from the Maze an hour later, all his teammates, except for the Wizard who escaped by triggering a teleport, were dead.
Dragonkind that stand still and cast spells according to a set pattern are easy to deal with; for example, many White Dragon ' attacks are based on a set pattern.
But when facing those cunning Adult Dragon, you'll instantly realize they're completely cheating! Their tactical setup would put even seasoned adventurers to shame. Experts have once calculated that if the template Spell of Adult Dragon were given to top-tier Adventurer, they could wipe out at least three Legendary- level Adventurer teams.
Polymorph, ambushes, assassinations, Maze, traps, Banishment, monster sieges, and more.
After using up a full set of Spell, it's time for the Dragon Breath, Wing Buffet, and Dragon Bite. Even after surviving this combo, you'll still have to face an Adult Dragon that's equivalent to Legendary melee Warrior.
Before Soren teamed up with his team to Dragon Slayer, he rehearsed the tactics at least twenty times!
Six Quasi-Legendary Adventurer spent a full day and night rehearsing the Dragonkind's attack strategy before finally setting out to Dragon Slayer. Without tactical planning, without understanding the battle environment, the terrain of the Dragon Nest, and the monsters' distribution routes, and without contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances, the only outcome was total annihilation!
There once was a Demigod Lich who fought by casting Imprisonment. Many considered this a weakness.
When a Legendary Adventurer team actually went to take down the Demigod Lich, everyone was stunned for a moment. It turned out that the lich was just idly throwing out Imprisonment to replenish his Spell items. When faced with real danger, he immediately used Epic Spell, and the entire team was dumbfounded.
Summon Demon, Project Image, * Dissection *, Dimensional Lock, Bigby's Interposing Hand, law; Stun, Blasphemy.
One Spell was cast, and the entire group was wiped out; even the Wizard couldn't escape.
From then on, everyone remembered a lesson: standing still and attacking is a dead end; the enemy is not a stupid puppet that only plays by the rules.
If you didn't manage to snag Goddess of Fortune, it's best to do some extra preparation.
The group planned to stay in Falling Leaf City for a day.
The Northern Witch, clearly unaware that the Magical Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon had become a mere decoration, still glanced at it with considerable awe.
Soren hadn't slept for several days and was now feeling slightly tired.
He first booked two rooms and settled Vivian in before unpacking and preparing to sleep. The city was relatively safe. If Vivian was indeed Godsbane, then she was very likely Fear God Child. There were some things he hadn't mentioned to Goria, but the territory near the Elf was a forbidden zone for the Demon Lord of Fear. His followers and cultists found it difficult to infiltrate the Elf lands. So, for the time being, they were still quite safe, and they should have plenty of time.
Soren had another very important purpose in coming here: there was a special area near the Elven Realm.
There is a Legendary piece of equipment there.
Furthermore, it's a teleportation point connecting to the Elemental Plane of Earth, where an Earth Elemental can provide nearly three thousand points of Slaughter Experience. If he's lucky, he can accumulate over thirty thousand points of Slaughter Experience there.
However, he can't handle it alone.
There are four such special areas, located in the Land of Ice and Snow, the Elven Forest, the Molten Land, and the Cloud Sea Forbidden Zone.
This is a Legendary mission.
The four locations represent the elemental forces of water, fire, earth, and air, respectively. Each location contains a Legendary- level piece of equipment, and when combined, they form a special item.
It will summon the Elders of the Four Elements, all of whom are CR. Only by defeating them can you obtain the final item.
A sealed Divine Rank Shard.
The Gods' descent to earth brought not only destruction, but also boundless opportunities.
Soren remembered a lot of things, but very few were actually available for him to obtain. This was the easiest Legendary Equipment to acquire and the easiest to challenge. The Earth Elemental were only Challenge Rating 9, roughly twice as strong as the initial Abyss Marilith. Because Earth Elemental were slow-moving and attacking, they were a type that Soren could easily handle. Therefore, with help, defeating them shouldn't be too difficult. If he faced Air Elemental, he would be doomed; he wouldn't even have a chance to attack.
The sky was just beginning to lighten.
There was a loud banging on Soren's door. He practically leaped to his feet, grabbed the Scimitar from beside the bed, and rushed out, demanding in a low voice, "What is it?"
Outside the door Goria, her face grave. She pointed outside and said in a low voice, "Look!"
A world of pure white.
I don't know when, but the outside was covered in snow. Overnight, everything was covered in white. The snow was nearly 15 centimeters thick, and it was hard to believe that it had fallen overnight.
"How is this possible?" Soren's expression was also very serious. He muttered, "It's only the end of September, isn't it? It's already snowing."
Goria pointed to the sky and lowered her voice, "Could it be related to up there?"
Gods?
Soren wasn't entirely sure either, and replied, "Possibly."
His area of activity wasn't around here, so he wasn't sure if it had snowed early. Even if it had, probably no one would have cared too much, given all the events that had transpired. However, snow in September isn't a good omen. Soren only discovered early signs of many things after the Gods descended. If this heavy snowfall was indeed early for some reason, it must be related to the Deity in Portfolio of ice and snow.
Is she Winter Maiden? Or Goddess of Ice and Snow?
Didn't the chaos of those Time of Troubles escape their reach? The events in the Land of Ice and Snow didn't seem to erupt until several years later?
Could it be that this is already in the works?
Outside, people were already busy shoveling snow, and every now and then someone would curse the awful weather, especially the Travel caravans, who were practically stuck here. With such heavy snow, they certainly couldn't leave, and might have to stay until next spring, in which case almost all the money they had earned along the way would be spent here. At the same time, many people looked worried, because with snow falling so early, this winter would probably be very cold, and if the monsters in the wilderness hadn't stockpiled enough food in advance, they were very likely to launch frequent attacks on other creatures.
The sudden heavy snowfall will freeze many animals to death.
They may not survive this winter. These seemingly minor things, when combined, can bring about very significant changes.
Nature is always a chain reaction!
