The Staff of the Magi was a long-established artifact.
Its most powerful ability was that it could be used in conjunction with the Anti-Detection Cloak, entering an invisibility state at any time and place while remaining invisible to both spells and mortal eyes.
This artifact was once Soren's favorite item to acquire, though his demand for the Staff of the Magi decreased significantly after he mastered the Shadow portfolio. Still, this artifact retained immense utility, and even if Soren had no use for it, it was an inestimable treasure to any mortal.
There were quite a few good things on Ildis.
However, most of them held no great value to Soren; the only things that could arouse his interest were two staves.
The first was the Staff of the Magi.
The second was the Staff of Savras.
Compared to the Staff of the Magi, the Staff of Savras looked much more mysterious. The Staff of Savras was carved from smoke-grey duskwood, about four feet in length, with nine blue star gems inlaid along the shaft. A 1-inch diameter diamond bearing the crest of Savras the All-Seeing was embedded at the base of the staff; another 3-inch diameter diamond with one thousand facets—completely impossible for a mortal to craft—was set into the staff; and finally, a diamond bearing the crest of Azuth, the God of Mages, was embedded at the top of the staff.
When Soren obtained this staff, he was actually unable to appraise its attributes.
There was a force of divinity shrouding the Staff of Savras: not only that of the sealed All-Seeing One, Savras, but another power belonging to Azuth, the God of Mages.
Has the power of the Wizard portfolio transferred onto the staff?
Soren gripped the Staff of Savras in his hand and muttered, "No wonder
