A surge of vibrant Hit Points erupted!

Soren felt a slight bitterness in his mouth, as if he had just chewed a leaf, but he had indeed eaten one. Accompanying this was a surge of incredibly vigorous Hit Points. The feeling was difficult to describe, but the effect was immense. His Constitution was increased to 21 points, and he permanently gained an additional 10 points of Hit Points. Now, his Hit Points Hit Points 146 points, comparable to a level 12 purebred Warrior.

After all, Warrior's base Hit Points bonus is 10 points, Rogue only has a base Hit Points bonus of 6 points.

A row of documents appeared before my eyes:

"Use [Leaf of Life]!..."

"You have permanently increased your Constitution by 1 point!... You have permanently increased your Hit Points by 10 points!..."

"Feat: Regeneration [Basic] upgraded to Intermediate Regeneration!..."

Even Regeneration Feat has improved?

Soren looked at his Feat data with some surprise and found that the Regeneration Feat, which originally required 25 points of Constitution to improve, had been directly improved once.

"Intermediate Regeneration (Racial Feat): Your Constitution surpasses that of mortals. Many injuries are no longer fatal to you. Your powerful Hit Points allows you to Regeneration like Troll. Any injury, Heavy Injury Condition or less, can gradually heal over time. Some limb injuries can also heal on their own. Although you can't regrow an arm or head like Troll, as your Constitution gradually increases, one day you will be able to do so. [Hit Points Regeneration speed +2 per hour]"

Incredibly powerful Regeneration abilities.

Soren glanced at his Feat data, his expression somewhat excited. He muttered, "Based on the current Regeneration effect, I can Regeneration 48 Hit Points in 24 hours, which is close to one-third of my Hit Points! That means I can recover from Heavy Injury Condition to Light Wound Condition within a day. If it's not a near-death state with limb injuries, I can recover within three days!"

Regeneration is the most powerful survival ability.

Soren had once dealt with an enemy possessing High-tier Regeneration. This guy could hide somewhere for a day and reappear fully recovered the next day. Unless you killed him in one go, there was absolutely nothing you could do against him. A Cure Critical Wounds only restores about 50 Hit Points from a severely wounded enemy, and a priest's memorization of Divine Magic takes time; the number of Divine Magic one can memorize in a day is actually quite limited. If you're facing enemies with powerful Regeneration abilities, especially creatures like Vampire, you'll find that they practically function as part-time priests.

The most abnormal are the naturally high-level Vampire, who possess High-tier Regeneration Feat and can restore their Hit Points by drinking blood!

Challenge Rating close to 15 is no joke.

The Dark Creature of this world are difficult to deal with; Supernatural Ability are commonplace in their hands.

Soren continued his journey North.

Although he ate the Leaf of Life, the possibility that the other party might continue to track him cannot be ruled out.

This extremely rare item has remained unused to this day, likely possessing either profound religious significance or other special uses. The ability to increase Constitution by one point, Hit Points by 10 points, and grant an additional [Regeneration] Feat would be incredibly tempting for Legendary Professional. That Elf Noble definitely possesses royal blood.

Soren ate this thing; if he gets caught and beaten up, that's the least of his worries!

The day passed quickly.

Soren didn't know how far he had gone, but he had been running at high speed the whole way, trying to Stealth into shadowy places.

That's the best thing about Rogue.

Invisibility has a duration, but the Rogue's Stealth ability is always effective; if bored, one can Stealth for an entire day. Some even transformed themselves into Shadow Life, further enhancing their Stealth capabilities. Upon entering the higher-level Legendary Domain, roughly at Rogue class level 25, a special ritual can be performed to permanently grant them invisibility.

This ability is powerful, but it makes communication very inconvenient.

Soren conservatively estimated that he had traveled over 200 kilometers in a day. Along the way, he encountered many villages and even saw a large Elf town. The Elf didn't have many cities, only about five or six in total, scattered in some very important locations. This was somewhat like a city-state system. Many places relied on cities for survival. Normally, there wouldn't be any other large cities within 100 kilometers of a single city.

The southern region covers about one-third of Asia, yet it contains fewer than two or three hundred cities.

Furthermore, they are mainly concentrated in plains areas near River Goddess.

In areas near deserts and primeval forests, cities are even scarcer. There are only six large cities in the entire Desert Region, all located in Oasis areas on the outskirts. The development of cities in this era required specific conditions. Amber City arose because of River Goddess changing its course. Without favorable geographical conditions, it would have been extremely difficult to develop and transform a city solely through human effort.

The sky gradually darkened.

Soren saw some Eagle along the way, but he couldn't be sure if Animal Companion the druids recruited from time to time.

However, he still carefully avoided these creatures, slowing down as they appeared in the sky, moving along the shadows. Soren didn't light a fire to cook; he simply ate some dry rations for a quick meal and then continued on his way. With his 21 points of Superhuman Constitution, this amount of travel wasn't too taxing, and the enhanced Darkvision from his Shadow Dancer abilities made him even more adept at night. If the Silver Moon Stalker was indeed tracking him, then nighttime was the best way to create distance.

After all, their speeds are about the same during the day, and the Silver Moon Stalker certainly can't continue tracking them at night.

Nighttime is when wild animals roam.

Soren heard the sounds of many wild beasts and saw some eerie green eyes. They were almost out of the Elf borders, and he himself hadn't ventured deep into the jungle, always traveling along the edges. The chances of encountering druids were high once they entered the forest, as many druids preferred to live in seclusion within the primeval forest.

Awooo!

A chorus of wolf howls erupted.

Soren looked at the distant hills; the trees nearby had thinned out considerably.

Amidst the howling of wolves, some roars were even louder and clearer—the sounds of Worg, approaching the Orc border. Although the Orc were skilled at taming Worg and had trained elite Wolf Rider, their entire tribes only numbered one or two thousand. This single Wolf Rider required hundreds of thousands of men to support, and their meat supply largely came from the corpses of war victims and executed criminals. Due to the enormous consumption of meat recently, the Orc had already reduced the number of tamed Worg they kept several times, and this winter was expected to see a further reduction.

Taming Worg is slightly better.

Raising Basilisk is a real money pit for Drow; they often see people throwing corpses to feed them in the Underdark.

Crossing this somewhat barren hilly area, one gradually approaches the North region. The Barbarian fortress is located on a mountain over there, where the oldest and purest Barbarian training traditions are passed down, and every year advanced Barbarian go there to visit. Soren had tried the training methods there, carrying huge rocks along the mountain path in the biting cold wind, which was definitely a very grueling form of training.

Three days.

Soren traversed a distance of over 800 kilometers, gradually approaching the boundaries of the Land of Ice and Snow.

The temperature is getting lower and lower.

The ground was already beginning to freeze, and there was a heavy frost in the morning. In the distance, the peaks of the high mountains were half covered in ice and snow. The wild animals that roamed here had much thicker fur, to better adapt to the cold climate. Soren looked travel-worn, with some beard growing on his chin, and he looked much more tired than before. However, when he saw a peak in the distance that resembled the Malar, a smile appeared on his face.

He's almost at Icewind Dale!
