Cold-Blooded Soren
When Soren emerged from the Temple of the Sea.
The others treated him completely differently. The Temple Guard used to ignore him completely now bowed slightly to him in respect. These were Warrior served the Deity, and their mission was to protect the Temple of the Sea. Unless there were special circumstances, only the Naga Priestess could mobilize them. They were the temple's regular armed force, and sometimes they would override local laws and act according to the temple's rules.
Soren is now essentially labeled as part of the Church of the Sea.
Anyone who tries to deal with him must consider the power of the Goddess of the Sea, but power also comes with obligations, Soren will need to serve the Church of the Sea once again when necessary.
The Goddess of the Sea wouldn't have given him such a generous gift for no reason!
Soren didn't have many concerns; if there was food, he'd eat his fill first. The Goddess of the Sea was different from other Deity; she didn't have many enemies. She was practically the sole ruler of the ocean, with only the Lord of Storms causing some friction with her. As for other Deity, unless it involved the Ocean Domain, they mostly maintained a Neutral stance, avoiding direct hostility. The Goddess of the Sea's greatest enemy was in the Abyss, unlike many other Deity whose enemies resided in the Material Plane.
This was one of the reasons Soren accepted it after considering it; at least accepting the blessing of this Deity wouldn't create a bunch of enemies.
It should be noted that those favored by opposing believers are very popular, and they are happy to kill those Favored Soul by Deity gods.
This can be exchanged for a high-level Sacrificial Ritual!
Soren went to see Vivian.
The little girl was still fast asleep, but she visibly relaxed after sensing Soren's arrival.
She is able to perceive the outside world, but she is not yet awake.
Soren sat on the edge of the bed, gently stroking Vivian's hair, and leaned down to kiss her forehead. He then began preparing many things. Now that he had received the Blessing of the Goddess of the Sea, he could accelerate the pace of his plans. However, the most important things now were twofold. The first was to absorb Divinity to strengthen his power and quickly acquire more to improve Divinity attributes and strength. The second was to support Adele in becoming the pirate leader near the Shipwreck Bay and use her power to build a fleet, while also obtaining the [Butcher] background Feat.
At that moment, he would have the ability to attempt to devour the Fear Divinity. Vivian might be able to awaken.
Night fell.
Soren put away the complex Spell Scroll, then stretched his neck. He took off his clothes and pulled the petite Vivian into his arms. The little girl's breathing seemed to become easier. Soren smiled and kissed her lovely cheek, murmuring, "You'll wake up soon! Not long at all!"
"Once we have our own power, we can then conquer the Overseas Islands."
"At that time, you can also rely on the power of elemental Spirits to enhance your Divinity, so that even if there is a lot of Fear Divine Power, you will not be affected by the will of the Demon Lord of Fear."
Overseas Islands.
Population, wealth, and power.
This place could provide him and Vivian with the source of Divinity, and might even cultivate their first followers. If Soren's plan succeeds, he can provide Vivian with a better foundation. At that time, even facing the Vampire God Child, Vivian would have no problem. Neither the Fear God Child nor the Abyssal Demon Lord could stop Vivian's rise!
The path of the Deity.
Vivian is undoubtedly more talented than him, and she has more room to grow Soren!
After all, Soren had to climb up the ranks step by step from being a mortal.
The sky was just beginning to lighten.
Soren appeared near the port, before him stood the serious-looking Adele Isabel, and the sailor pirates she had recruited the previous night. As the daughter of a former pirate captain, she naturally had her own channels, making it easy for her to recruit manpower. After all, she had been familiar with these ways since childhood, and Port Tyler had a sufficient source of manpower. However, in Soren's eyes, the men she recruited could only serve as sailors, as the vast majority were ordinary people.
Or rather, they were Toughness, ordinary people, including some who were missing limbs.
Soren had no expectations for the men he had recruited overnight. He merely glanced at them coldly and said, "Let's go. We don't have much time."
To rise to prominence in a short period of time, it is natural to need the power of the Temple of the Sea.
Although Soren could no longer control the Speaker of the Dead, he borrowed a warship from the Temple of the Sea.
His first step was to retrieve the original ship and then launch a direct attack on the other pirates in the Shipwreck Bay. He wanted to quickly increase his strength in the simplest and most brutal way. These sailors would soon be eliminated; Soren knew exactly what kind of people pirates were. These guys were all spineless, typical of those who would only respond to force. As long as your fist was big enough, they would learn what respect and humility meant. As for those who disobeyed, Soren would show no mercy in reaping their heads.
Half a day passed quickly.
The men Adele recruited immediately proved useful. The sight of another pirate ship undoubtedly excited these lowly, haphazardly making a living, and some even whispered among themselves.
One night.
Adele has yet to establish authority in the eyes of these people.
"Your Excellency Captain"
A fierce-looking pirate, missing three fingers, glanced lewdly at Adele's ample breasts, then chuckled, "Now we have two ships! What should we do next? Should we rob some easy targets?"
This is an old pirate.
He had been around for a long time, so he had established some authority, and it seemed he even had some helpers here.
When he spoke, many others began to respond, as if he were the captain. This guy was clearly smug and even gave Soren a defiant look, suggesting that Adele hadn't said much when recruiting them. This pleased Soren; he didn't need these trash pirates to know who he was, just to have them respect him.
Adele's expression turned grim, a hint of anger flashing across her beautiful face. She placed her hand on the hilt of her sword and said in a deep voice, "We're going to Serpent Island!"
The captain has the authority of a captain.
This dignity may not require mercy, but it certainly requires awe, and she has not yet been able to instill awe in the pirates before her.
"What!?"
The fierce-looking pirate's expression changed drastically. He exclaimed in disbelief, "Are you crazy? That's Narwhal territory! Our small group will be wiped out in the blink of an eye!"
"Hey-hey."
"Perhaps you'll still get captured by them... tsk tsk!... Captain, I know you want to restore the Tiger Shark's glory!... but you'd better consider your own strength!... Wait until we have enough wealth and manpower before considering taking over other pirates!..."
The other person's tone became unfriendly, and they seemed to have lost much of their respect.
The other sailors and pirates on the ship also looked grim. As seasoned veterans, they knew what kind of place Serpent Island was. With their mediocre skills, going there would be suicide. Soon, a commotion broke out. More than 70% of the pirates questioned Adele's orders. Only a few watched coldly. One young man, who appeared to have Half-Elf blood, gave Soren a deep look, seemingly realizing that Soren was the strongest.
He is the true Boss!
Adele's expression turned cold, and she drew her weapon, seemingly prepared to maintain her captain's authority with bloodshed.
However, Soren was even faster than her.
Soren gently raised his finger, and several Magic Missile appeared at his fingertips. Then he saw the ferocious pirate in front of him being blasted away, a bloody hole appearing in his chest.
He could easily kill such trash with a single Magic Missile!
"A... Wizard!..."
A collective gasp swept across the pirate ship; the mage's intimidating power was undeniable in an instant.
Even Adele's beautiful face was filled with shock, because Soren had hardly used any Spell when he subdued her. She only now realized that Soren was also Wizard. She had always thought that Soren's Invisibility was achieved using Spell Scroll or some special item, and she never imagined that he was also a Wizard, and that his professional level seemed to be quite high.
Tap tap tap!
Soren was draped in Dark Red Cloak, obscuring his features, but this did not diminish his intimidating presence or inspire any unknown fear. He swept his gaze across the crowd, his eyes filled with immense terror, causing many to tremble slightly and even take a step back in fear. With a cold and authoritative expression, he walked directly to the still-breathing, ferocious pirate and crushed his head with a single stomp.
Red and white particles flew everywhere, and the force of the kick shook the deck, causing Sisi to appear on it.
Soren stopped.
He frowned at the brain matter and blood smeared on his shoes, then glanced coldly at the others before finally fixing his gaze on the silent, aloof Half-Elf youth. He then slowly said, "From now on, you are the first mate of this ship."
There wasn't much unnecessary talk.
Soren frowned as he stared at the group of trash before him, and said in a deep voice, "I will cut off the head of the Narwhal, Pillage the wealth of Serpent Island, and those who follow me will be rewarded; the rest will go to Hell."
"Set sail! Let's go!"
"Anyone who doesn't obey orders will suffer the consequences."
Soren had no interest in wasting time and breath on these scumbags; he'd just kill any who disobeyed.
Their only job is to sail the boat!
