Awakening

Draconic Sorcerers are the quintessential type of sorcerer.

They automatically awaken draconic innate abilities and many related spellcasting powers over time. Eventually, they strengthen their draconic bloodline, replacing their original human bloodline to become powerful Half-Dragons. This is why dragons are often considered the source of sorcerous heritage; they do not need to learn anything. From the moment they are born, a vast amount of knowledge and memory is stored within their minds. As their strength increases, they gradually awaken various memories, spells, and related knowledge from the time they were hatchlings.

This is incredibly powerful!

The genetic characteristics of the dragon race have always been a secret that many Wizards wish to study. If they succeeded, they could use it to cultivate their own descendants, allowing them to awaken inherited memories over time just like dragons. Soren had even accepted a mission like this back in the North, where the target was an adult White Dragon.

Since it was confirmed that Vivian possessed the talent of a sorcerer, a new question arose.

"What is her innate Charisma?"

Sorcerers generally awaken their talents earlier the stronger they are. Under normal circumstances, this awakening begins around puberty (age 13). Such sorcerers usually have a Charisma score of around 16; it is rare for a sorcerer to have a Charisma lower than 15. When a sorcerer awakens their abilities, it signifies that their personal affinity has begun to influence the surrounding energy. Following certain special events that cause significant emotional fluctuations, they will awaken their first level 0 spell.

At the same time, they gain the ability to manipulate external energy!

This is quite complex.

It is similar to how a newborn dragon hatchling must wait until it grows into a young dragon (30–50 years old) before it can awaken its abilities and master its first Draconic Spell!

Sorcerers are much the same; they can only awaken their first level 0 spell once they reach adolescence.

Therefore, the earlier this happens, the higher the sorcerer's talent. The rough conversion is that for every year earlier, the base Charisma is estimated to increase by 1 point. In other words, using the standard of 16 Charisma for an awakening at age 13, a sorcerer who awakens at 12 would have 17 Charisma, and one who awakens at 11 would have 18.

Vivian is currently 8 years old.

Her innate Charisma should be 20–21!

"How is this possible?!"

A look of utter shock appeared on Soren's face as he muttered, "Doesn't that mean she has the template of a natural Divine Soul?"

"She might even advance into a Favored Soul in the future!"

What exactly is it?

A look of distress appeared on Soren's face, as if he were troubled by his inability to determine Vivian's attributes.

Attributes are a crucial part of an individual's strength. Only with sufficiently high attributes can one possess greater power when leveling up their class. Thus, the starting point often influences the end result. Before possessing a demigod's Divine Rank or mastering Divinity (all attributes +1), a professional's strength after entering the Legendary Realm is largely determined by their early base attributes.

Because at that stage, you must have at least one attribute reach 25, and if possible, raise a second attribute to 25 as well!

Soren rubbed his head in frustration. In the past, players possessed scouting abilities that allowed them to inspect others' attributes and strength. However, he still needed to figure out Vivian's innate attributes, because she might possess even more astonishing talents than Soren! (Soren had an innate 18 points in Dexterity, +1 from acquired training feats, and an innate 17 points in Intelligence, +1 from acquired training feats.)

"Base attributes will stop growing after reaching adulthood."

21 Charisma!

It was even one point higher than the 20 points of extraordinary Charisma Soren had anticipated.

At the same time, Vivian also possessed an astonishing 18 points of Wisdom. No wonder the young Cleric of the Lord of Dawn had said she possessed a unique talent and could perhaps become a Cleric herself.

With 18 points of innate Wisdom, becoming a Cleric would be as easy as eating or drinking.

His form seemed to devour light; even though the flames shone directly upon him, nothing could be seen, only a pure, dark silhouette.

"Your Excellency High Priest!"

The Fallen Follower guarding near the altar knelt on one knee, and the leading Red-Robed Priest bowed, asking, "Why have you come here in person?"

"Could it be that our Lord has sent down a new divine oracle?"

The pitch-black figure on the altar was not a physical entity; it looked more like some kind of energy projection. He cast a cold glance downward and said in a deep voice, "The first Godchild has awakened!"

"The prophecy has encountered an accident. Our Lord's will did not descend upon the Godchild."

"The first Godchild awakened his Divine Power on his own!"

"Pass on my command."

"Find him at any cost!..."

"Awaken the slumbering Dread Knights!..."

"Send them out."

"Crush all the ants that stand in our way!..."

"I want to see the first Godchild return to the original path, to awaken completely amidst despair and fear!..."

The pitch-black figure gradually vanished, yet a look of madness appeared on the face of the Red-Robed Priest. He licked his lips and looked toward the eight marble coffins surrounding the altar, which were engraved with countless intricate patterns, appearing much like a powerful seal. He swept a cruel gaze over the area below the altar and sneered, "Now, go find enough sacrifices!"

"The ritual to awaken the Dread Knights will be held tomorrow at midnight!... This city will be destroyed before dawn arrives!..."

"Fear will be everywhere!"
