Catgirl
the next day.
Soren then prepared to leave the camp and head North to invite Goria.
The Northern Witch is currently their only high-level Spellcaster with Soren they have a good relationship, and there are some ambiguous feelings between them. No one knows when these feelings arose; perhaps it was during their encounter with the followers of the God of Hunt, or perhaps it developed slowly over time. But one thing is certain: the Northern Witch Goria holds a high place in Soren's heart, because she is one of the few people Soren truly cares about.
Strictly speaking, Soren is a very cold person!
The fact that someone who is indifferent can hold a thought in their heart speaks volumes.
Vivian seemed a little reluctant to see Soren leave, but being a child at heart, she immediately cheered up after discovering her new toy. She had a new gift: an adorable Catgirl, only seven years old, two years younger than Vivian, but appearing about the same size due to her species. This little Catgirl would be Vivian 'Vivian handmaiden. Although she was still clumsy and couldn't do anything right now, the little girl believed she could train her into a first-rate maid.
It's strange, really.
This Catgirl was cold and aloof to everyone, even baring her teeth and pouncing when Soren approached, became unusually docile and obedient when she met Vivian, almost like a domesticated kitten. Perhaps it was because the two were close in age and looked similar, or perhaps it was because of Vivian's amazing charm, but whatever the Catgirl did, she obeyed her every command, posing as she was told and playing whatever role she was asked to play. The young girl took out all her exquisite clothes that she had collected but never worn, and dressed Vivian in them one by one, even giving her a bath and making her look like a porcelain doll.
It seems like Vivian will be very happy during this time with this Catgirl around!
However, to Soren's dismay, he had originally thought that after Vivian tamed this wild Catgirl, he could see how she differed from ordinary people.
But to his surprise, the little Catgirl immediately bared her teeth and pounced when she saw him approach.
Really!
People are treated differently. People with high charisma are more popular in whatever they do.
No wonder so many lazy people chose Sorcerer as their core class back then!
Vivian has a playmate.
Although she wasn't a normal human, but rather a small Lycanthrope, Soren was happy about it, since the little girl could be quite lonely sometimes.
Soren rarely had time to spend with her before because he was busy making a living, and even during his escape, he still didn't have much time to spend with her.
With countless things to deal with and the impending Time of Troubles, Soren has even less time to relax and spend with her. So having a Catgirl of similar age by her side should make the young girl much happier.
Yes.
Vivian was much happier.
Because she had a playmate, although she was a Catgirl, the little girl still named her ' Lulu ' because she couldn't speak yet. Besides strange, incomprehensible sounds, she could only meow and say 'lu~lu~', so her name was [Lulu]. Lulu was a very fun, obedient, and well-behaved Catgirl, and also very cute. After being cleaned, she was very beautiful, like a delicate doll. It made you want to hug, pinch, and rub her.
However, Vivian also had a slight worry in her heart.
She was a little afraid that Lulu would be ruined by Lillian! Recently, Lillian had clearly become much more interested in this Catgirl!
Hopefully she won't do anything reckless.
Soren set off.
However, they didn't bring many people with them, only preparing one Warship, and secretly controlling the Ghost Ship as well.
The round trip to the North would likely take nearly a month, as he also needed to handle some matters at Port Tyler and Shipwreck Bay along the way. Unlike other Pirate King, Soren possessed strong control over the seas and held his subordinates to much higher standards. This trip to the North to invite Goria naturally included arranging necessary matters, as even the most capable subordinates couldn't compare to Soren's own efforts in managing affairs; otherwise, the Red-Haired Female Pirate Adele Isabella wouldn't still be waiting for her return.
It seems she failed.
It's indeed difficult to persuade a proud Wizard to cooperate with you just by having a bunch of stones; if you're unlucky, you might not even be able to meet him.
Seafaring is a very boring thing.
The first day passed uneventfully, and Soren led his men back along the original route.
This continued until the third day, when he finally saw something interesting amidst the exclamations of his pirate crew.
Fish swarm.
Or, to put it more professionally, it's a fishing season!
Many fish here have migratory habits, and the ones in front of him are some of the fish that migrate in spring. Soren didn't recognize most of them, but he did see some fish that were about two meters long, similar to ribbonfish, with silvery scales on their surfaces. They were quite conspicuous in groups in the Seawater. There were also things that looked like hairy shrimp, but they were a bit different from the large lobsters that Soren had seen last time. He wondered how many rich resources were still hidden in this undeveloped sea.
Look over there!
The lookout on the Warship suddenly shouted, and everyone looked in the direction he was pointing.
shark.
Soren saw quite a few sharks.
The fishing season is a bountiful time for the natives, and also for other creatures in the Overseas Islands. However, the Shark-man appearing in the distance don't seem to be fishing, but rather driving schools of fish in a certain direction. There are quite a few Shark-man; Soren could see at least several hundred, including thirty to fifty tamed great white sharks. These Shark-man move within the fishing area, occasionally emitting strange shouts or blowing some kind of special conch shell.
They quickly discovered Soren and his group.
However, after a Shark-man riding a great white shark approached and observed for a moment, he avoided Soren's Warship. The Shark-man continued his work, and the two sides passed each other peacefully.
Soren watched all of this silently.
His expression turned thoughtful, as if he had thought of something.
(P. S.: I really like to write about a relatively realistic world. Is that considered a quirk?) (To be continued~^~)
