Dragon Eggs
The arrival of Pastor Lady of Fortune made Soren more wary.
That is, as his strength grows step by step, it will inevitably attract the attention of many established and powerful forces, which is unavoidable. Perhaps when Soren is not strong enough, these forces will choose to ignore him, but once Soren breaks through a certain threshold, he will inevitably come into contact with them. Fortunately, it was the priest of the Lady of Fortune who came; if the Storm Temple had secretly sent someone to contact him, things would have been much more troublesome.
This place is close to the Amazon Tropical Rainforest; refusing entry could result in an attack.
Ultimately, it comes down to a lack of strength!
If Soren can disregard the influence of the Temple of the Sea on him, then he can confidently say, "I'm in charge of my own territory."
Advance to the Legendary Domain!
Soren felt that he needed to accelerate his progress in improving his strength. If there were three Legendary- level powerhouses in charge, no temple or Church would dare to act rashly.
So after settling the priestess of Lady of Fortune, Soren was able to lead his men to deal with the Wyvern.
With Goria at the camp and the Wizard Eye constantly monitoring the rift in the Shadow Plane, he wasn't worried about them discovering the secret. So, he set off early with a group of his men to hunt down the Wyvern. As dangerous Draconic, they could provide Soren with a wealth of Slaughter Experience, definitely enough to raise his Wizard Level. However, casualties had to be avoided; it wasn't realistic for Soren to hunt these Wyvern alone, as their population was probably larger than a hand's breadth.
The other side of the mountain is a cliff.
Soren established Brick Kiln here, where artisans from the East are busy at work. Behind a red earth is a small river, and then comes the territory of the Wyvern.
The presence of Wyvern droppings here deterred other creatures from approaching.
Soren brought only subordinates of rank three or higher, including elites who had participated in the White Dragon War. The Dragonhide Armor was currently being made, a process that wasn't easy and might require the assistance of the Drow. The group climbed up the mountain path, and before they even reached the cliff, they heard the low growls of Wyvern. These Draconic had spotted them, but instead of attacking, they roared at them, trying to drive them away.
Slurp!
Soren shot an arrow that Wyvern. This provocative act enraged the beasts, and two of them roared and swooped down from the sky.
"Get out of the way!"
Soren roared, drew his Scimitar Icetail, and leaped forward, plunging it into the Wyvern's abdomen. The force of his descent sent Soren flying, but the impact also propelled him to rip open the Soren's belly. He tore open a nearly two-meter-long wound, spilling out copious amounts of blood and intestines. Finally, the Wyvern Wyvern Dragon Wing Soren's abdomen.
"Cough cough!"
Soren coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood. He had suffered serious bruises from the impact, but it was worth the price; the Wyvern in front of him was almost dead.
Pfft!
The Scimitar sliced through the Wyvern's head, then decapitated it.
A row of documents appeared:
"Unleash your Sword Momentum: Decapitation!"
"You dealt 72 points of cleavage damage to the target!... Decapitation successful!... Target dead!..."
"You have gained 5600 Slaughter Experience points!"
Soren's side achieved a brilliant victory. However, his men were in a less favorable situation. Although they managed to hit the enemy with javelins while spreading out, one of them was struck head-on by Wyvern's attack. Even their Iron-Studged Armor couldn't withstand the Wyvern's Sharpness claws, which nearly pierced through their chest, leaving a bloody mess and even tearing off their ribs. The pounce of a large Draconic was extremely ferocious. Combined with their massive size advantage, their strength was enough to send a mammoth flying.
With a single swooping attack, it instantly killed one of Soren's henchmen, Wyvern immediately flapped its wings, trying to take off.
How could Soren possibly let them fly into the sky? He immediately grabbed a javelin and hurled it with a roar. The javelin whistled through the air and struck the enemy Dragon Wing, causing it to stumble and fall to the ground. Without a chance to take off, the Wyvern immediately swept its tail and opened its mouth to bite the nearest person.
"Let me!"
Soren needed to gain Slaughter Experience, so he couldn't let his men surround and kill it. He shouted, "Everyone else, scatter and attack it with javelins!"
"Bull's Strength!"
"Haste!"
Soren activated the constant Haste on his Legendary boots, and pounced forward in a blur.
While equipment equipped with constant Spell can remain active all day, it's not very convenient in everyday life and sometimes fails to deliver a decisive advantage. Most of these constant Spell are used in combat, and some constant Spell that are tattooed or otherwise imprinted on the body require specific environments to be effective.
For example, a constant Spell like ' Dragon Wing '.
Exposing it from the start could backfire, as ' Mordenkainen's Disjunction ' can sometimes disrupt these constant Spell.
Clang!
The Scimitar flashed with cold light and struck the back of the Wyvern. Having experienced the battles against the White Dragon and Red Dragon dragons, Soren was quite adept at dealing with these Draconic creatures.
One against many might be dangerous, but with the help of subordinates, it becomes quite easy.
Swish, swish, swish!
Amidst a flurry of flashing blades, the Wyvern before them was swiftly slain. Soren stood beside the Wyvern's corpse, catching his breath, before saying in a deep voice, "Go straight up! Ignore these corpses; we'll take them back later!"
The rugged mountain road winds its way up.
Sometimes there were no roads at all, and they had to use Flying Shuttle to get around. They quickly reached the Pteranodon's nest.
Then they spotted the two Wyvern that had remained there.
The Pteranodon stayed in their nests, neither helping their companions when attacked nor fleeing when faced with powerful enemies. There was only one explanation. Soren paused briefly upon approaching, then his gaze swept past the Wyvern that were baring their fangs but not attacking, and he saw several Dragon Egg hidden behind them.
Spring appears to be the season when Pteranodon lay their eggs, and then in summer and autumn, the animals are plump and strong enough to catch enough food to feed the hatching Dragon Egg.
"Careful!"
Soren glanced at them solemnly, then ordered, "All of you, step back and do not attack those Dragon Egg."
"Perhaps these Dragon Egg are still of some use!"
Domesticating Draconic is extremely difficult.
However, if the Dragon Egg is hatched, the difficulty of taming it is greatly reduced. Wyvern grow very quickly; as long as there is enough food, they can grow to a weight of over a thousand pounds within six months. Although Soren does not know how to tame Pteranodon, the Drow have the skill of taming Basilisk. Giant lizard-like creatures are very similar to Draconic, which means that the possibility of taming them is about 30%.
A chance of around 30% is enough for Soren to expend his energy and give it a try!
Upon hearing this, the others immediately retreated, while Soren approached the two Wyvern directly in front of him. They appeared very uneasy as Soren approached, but they did not leave their nest. Whether pure- Dragon or hybrid Draconic, the chances of them laying eggs are not very high, so they will often protect their Dragon Egg at all costs.
Clang!
A cold glint appeared.
Soren's figure vanished mysteriously, reappearing behind the Wyvern the next moment. However, instead of attacking the enemy in front of him, he pounced directly on the Dragon Egg, collecting five Dragon Egg in succession with dazzling speed.
"Attack!"
Soren twisted and swung his sword backhand, plunging it into the enemy's back, while roaring, "Kill them!"
As long as they don't worry about damaging the Dragon Egg, they can attack freely.
These Wyvern in front of them were no match for them at all. If Soren activated his Slayer Shape, he could easily take on these Wyvern one-on-one.
(P. S.: That's all for today.) (To be continued~^~)
