Rumble!

A barrage of cannon fire echoed over the town on the southern island. In the distance, near the harbor, pirate ships with black sails could be seen. Hundreds of cannons simultaneously fired at the City Wall, creating a breach in the rampage with just one volley. The intense firepower kept the defenders on the City Wall from rotating, forcing them to Dodge in corners. Cries and screams filled the town; the sudden attack terrified the peaceful Commoner.

Damn it!

A man dressed in aristocratic attire shouted, "Fight back! Fight back now!"

"How could there be pirates here?"

"Black Flag!"

"Aren't these the Headhunter's men? Why are they attacking us! Aren't they afraid of the kingdom's retaliation?"

Rumble.

His response was a second wave of artillery fire. As the firepower became overwhelming, speedboats were launched from the pirate ships ahead, and squads of menacing pirates, weapons in hand, began to land. Some jumped directly into the Seawater and charged towards the town ahead. A series of strange cries rang out as the pirates brandished their weapons and charged at the town's defenders, unleashing an almost one-sided massacre.

"Attack!"

"Charge, all of you!"

A cold glint appeared in the One-Eyed's eyes, and he roared in a deep voice, "Ignore those ordinary people! Break down the governor's mansion! What good are those Commoner to you!"

"A swift and decisive victory!"

"There are troops from Southern Island Nation stationed nearby; we must retreat before they arrive!"

Rumble.

The One-Eyed man swung his sword, killing a guard in the process. He glanced around and then shouted, "Follow me! This is the Chamber of Commerce guild's territory! Charge in!"

A group of pirates charged forward with strange cries and engaged the Chamber of Commerce's guards in battle.

The entire town was engulfed in war, but the core of the battle was still in the areas where nobles and merchants lived; the Slums, on the other hand, were largely unaffected. No pirate would be foolish enough to raid there. There was nothing of value there; at best, they might snatch some rotten Bread and a few Copper Daler. Soon, one of the Chamber of Commerce ' strongholds fell. Amidst a pool of bloody corpses, two burly pirates carried a chest, just as the defending troops launched a counterattack. They immediately took up arms and fought.

Splash!

The box he was carrying fell to the ground, scattering Gold Daler and Silver Daler everywhere. The gleaming Gold Coin attracted a lot of attention, and then several guys who seemed a bit different from the main pirates rushed over, grabbing handfuls and trying to stuff them into their pockets.

Clang!

A flash of cold light appeared.

The One-Eyed man swung his sword, slaying the looting pirates. His gaze then turned icy as he surveyed his surroundings, lingering briefly on the leader of another group of pirates. He roared, "Have you forgotten the rules set by Soren? Anyone who dares to misbehave again will suffer the same fate!"

The attacking pirates were clearly in two groups.

One group, well-organized and fierce, launched a planned and organized attack on warehouses and mansions, while the other group looted wherever they went, with some pirates trying to retreat after acquiring their loot.

Needless to say, they were a small group of pirates who were fighting alongside them.

"It's broken!"

"The warehouse has been breached!"

A cheer erupted from ahead, followed by shouts of battle. The One-Eyed glanced around and said to his comrade beside him, "Follow me!"

Boom!

The warehouse door was kicked open, and the wealth inside was immediately revealed to the others.

Boxes of Gold Daler and Silver Daler, along with various other goods and grain collected as taxes. The Southern Island Nation was quite wealthy. The warehouse was filled to the brim with five or six boxes of gold and silver syrup, as well as many swords and weapons.

"Transport it away."

"Move it all away! Get it out of here quickly!"

The One-Eyed smiled with satisfaction, then shouted, "Has the Governor's Mansion fallen?"

"No."

A young pirate answered, "There's a Wizard there! We've suffered heavy casualties! Kanado has led his men back. Let those guys deal with them."

Wizard?

Upon hearing this, the One-Eyed narrowed his eyes and then said, "Then let them have it. Hurry up and get the stuff out of here."

"The army should arrive as reinforcements in about half a day."

Boom boom boom!

The muffled sounds of cannon fire continued. To the east of the town stood a castle built halfway up the mountain. The mansion at the foot of the mountain had already fallen, but the nobles who ruled the area had retreated to the castle. Without sufficient firepower, capturing the castle would be very difficult. After the First Wave of attacks was repelled by the defenders, it was clear that a group of pirates had already retreated.

Damn it!

An elderly nobleman stood atop the castle, roaring, "Where are the reinforcements from Nage City? Why haven't they arrived yet?"

"Those damned pirates! I'll..."

boom.

A pirate Warship turned around and fired a shot at the castle halfway up the mountain, but it was beyond the range of the cannon and had virtually no effect.

The battle continues!

However, some pirates had already begun to retreat in an organized manner, carrying back chests of gold, silver, and goods. In the end, they even took the grain from the warehouses, carrying it back to their warships sack by sack. The entire town was in ruins, with fires raging in many places, cries of agony heard everywhere, and sporadic fighting still continuing in some corners.

By the time the pirates retreated, the entire town was almost in ruins, with only the impoverished Slums remaining intact. The temple, largely untouched, was another area largely unaffected. Few pirates dared attack it, making it a haven for the poor, where many elderly, women, and children sought refuge. The power of the Deity instilled fear in mortals, and even these fierce and ruthless pirates dared not attack the temple.

Boom boom boom!

Cheers and shouts erupted from the pirate ship. The gunners fired a few more shots at the town ahead before calmly leaving.

The same scene is happening in many places.

The pirate Boss under Soren's command, along with the scattered pirates summoned by the Pirate King, launched a coordinated plunder of the coastal cities of the Southern Island Nation. The relentless attacks kept the Southern Island Nation's army constantly on the move. Except for a few towns that escaped capture, many places, like this one, were completely looted. Furthermore, since the kingdom's navy had been taken out by Prince Hans, they were now unable to even go out to sea to fight and could only cower in the towns and passively defend themselves.

The seas have completely fallen under the control of pirates, and everything seems to be in complete chaos.

The pirates ran rampant with impunity.

The Southern Island Nation was forced to issue a retreat order, evacuating all coastal towns. Once they were far from the coastline, the pirates would have to land and attack, and once ashore, they would be no match for the Regular Army. Moreover, once they were far from the coast, it wouldn't be so easy for the pirates to retreat; a heavy cavalry force from the Southern Island Nation would give them a good beating!

but.

It seems that none of the pirates had any intention of fighting on land.
