Blasphemous Utterance

A scorching flame.

Deep within these once-dark underground ruins, flames suddenly ignited near the passageway. Torches and oil lamps, their age unknown, all lit themselves by some unknown force. It is said that the earth burns wherever the Balor Balor considered one of the most powerful enemies imaginable!

(The Challenge Rating is equivalent to that of an elderly Red Dragon, while most of the dragons appearing in mortal stories are Young Dragon or Adult Dragon.)

The Abyss is Chaotic Evil place, with a wide variety of Demon, and new species are born almost every day.

However, there is no doubt that the true masters of the Abyss are the Tanar'ri Demon, the current third generation of Abyssal Fiend. Before them, the rulers of the Abyss were the Obox-ob, the descendants of 'Chaos and Destruction '. They were the creations of the first Chaos Demon and once ruled the Abyss for a long time.

But then humanity was born!

Before the current Order was truly established, the souls of the dead began to enter the Abyss. The Obox-ob were very interested in these mortal souls, and they used their chaotic power to transform them, eventually creating the Tanar'ri Demon race we know today. The Demon created by fusing human souls were exceptionally powerful and numerous. Eventually, a chaotic war broke out in the Abyss, Tanar'ri Demon defeated the second generation of Demon kings and became the rulers of the Abyss.

Now.

Even the many Demon Lord within the Abyss are of Tanar'ri Demon origin.

They possess the power of human souls!

Balor are the elite among the Tanar'ri Demon. They are Greater Demon who have inherited the power of 'chaos and fire'. Even within the Abyss Balor are the absolute ruling class, standing at the top of the Demon race, second only to the Demon Lord. These are among the few Greater Demon born with Divinity, and have always been a mainstay on the Abyss battlefield. A single Balor is Lord- level existence anywhere in the Abyss, controlling a considerable Demon army. (Note: Challenging Balor within the Abyss inevitably involves facing Demon army.)

Balor.

The monsters in the Abyss are textbook examples; almost any Adventurer preparing to venture into the Abyss will remember the basic information about the Balor clearly.

As soon as Soren sensed the rising temperature nearby, a vast amount of data flashed through his mind.

When he first ventured into the Abyss, the Balor was a monster he focused on, because if you encountered such a monster, you had to know it well enough to have any chance of defeating it.

It's so powerful!

Challenging Balor is not much easier than challenging a Demigod.

The thirst for Slaughter continued. Soren's rationality did not disappear after Change Shape Slayer; instead, a desire for battle and Slaughter arose. Balor was the only enemy here that could satisfy his Slaughter.

Flame!

A massive shadow.

As Soren passed through the dark passage, the light suddenly became abundant.

Before him stood a colossal monster engulfed in raging flames, possessing Demon horns and broad Demon wings, though these were largely useless in the cramped underground ruins. The Balor stood over 12 feet tall and weighed over 5000 pounds, wielding a massive Abyssal Vorpal Sword, its blade ablaze with Flame. The Balor was also Greater Demon skilled in Two-Weapon Fighting; its other weapon was a +3 level Abyssal Flame Whip.

The temperature is gradually rising.

The Balor is like a giant ball of fire, and any creature that gets close to it will suffer continuous burning damage.

but.

As the colossal monster appeared before Soren, a strange silver light emanated from the Legendary Scimitar, Icetail. Its brilliance, like that of stars, kept the scorching flames at bay and, in a burst of Spell Aura, automatically extinguished the Magic flames nearby, a flame ignited by the Balor. This Legendary Scimitar had once slain the Balor, and upon sensing the Evil light and detecting a new enemy, it even trembled slightly in Soren's hand.

The flames weakened slightly.

The flames on Balor's body seemed to dim considerably, and then Soren's vision came into view of a pair of heavy shackles. The shackles, gleaming with Silver-White Metal luster, bound its hands, and a barb seemed to pierce through its massive Demon wings. It had been sealed here for a very long time; even after thousands of years, it still could not break free of the seal. Because it was the Archmage of the Arcane Empire who had imprisoned it.

"Demon? No! It's a human?"

Balor's pupils leaped like flames as it stared at Soren, who had appeared before it, and spoke in ancient Abyssal: "A human bears the aura of Slayer!"

"Mortal!"

"Come here, release me. I will give you everything you desire!"

A cold smile crept across Soren's lips. He completely ignored Balor's words, for Demon were untrustworthy beings. They did not abide by any laws of contract. Anyone who made a deal with Demon was likely to be devoured, and besides, Soren's goal was to take its life.

Nock the arrow and draw the bow!

Soren drew his Elven War Bow and fired an arrow directly at the Balor in front of him.

clang.

The Balor's massive Vorpal Sword instantly blocked the arrow, while the wooden shaft burst into flames, and even the steel arrowhead showed signs of melting. The terrifying power of the Greater Demon was revealed in an instant; unless one was Legendary Tier being, they couldn't even get close to it. This was because the Balor's body was nothing but scorching flames. (Note: Any enemy entangled and captured by the Balor will suffer 36 points of Fire Damage per second.)

The power of the seal remains.

The enraged Balor roared and took a step forward. Instantly, a faint Spell Aura appeared on the shackles binding it, followed by a muffled groan.

The chains connected to the wall behind him, which displayed a massive Nine-Pointed Star Magic Circle.

There are slight cracks on the surface of the Magic Circle, and nearby are remnants of a battle, left behind by Adventurer once explored this place.

The markings of Balor on the map were also left by them.

"Damn mortals!"

Balor roared, the shackles binding its hands unable to stop its attack on Soren. Balor swung its Flame Whip of Balor, leaping into the air and lashing out at Soren.

Flames over ten meters long!

The Flame Whip of Balor, accompanied by a whistling wind, struck. Agile and cunning like a venomous snake, it sealed off all of Soren's escape routes.

Snap!

Soren's gaze sharpened, and he leaped into the air without any intention of Dodge. Instead, he directly swung his blade at the Flame Whip of Balor.

A silvery sheen appeared.

The flames on the Flame Whip of Balor seemed to dim, then gradually extinguished, before being flicked away by Balor. It stared at the Scimitar Icetail in Soren's hand, its eyes flickering with fire, and said in a deep voice, "This weapon has a repulsive aura!"

The first round of confrontation.

Both sides appear to be launching probing attacks.

Although Soren saw the shackles on Balor's body with his own eyes, he had no intention of recklessly attacking.

Even when sealed away, Balor remains Balor.

Regardless of how it was trapped in this underground ruin, its Challenge Rating of 21 or higher doesn't lie. Soren has encountered these sealed Greater Demon more than once. Although they are trapped somewhere, it doesn't mean they are without combat power. Just like Soren, even without weapons, even with his hands shackled, his powerful attributes and Feat can still instantly turn him into a terrifying Slaughter machine.

The seal here has loosened.

Behind Balor were two broken pillars. Originally, its shackles should have been wrapped around them, but now only the barbs on its back were connected to the wall.

This gives it some mobility!

Soren's mind raced as he considered how to kill the Balor before him, while also assessing its danger.

Call!

The Flame Whip of Balor transformed into a blazing inferno once more. Balor's chaotic nature made it easily provoked. It flicked its flaming whip Constrict Soren, seemingly intending to pull him to its side.

Clatter

Soren dodged again, and the Balor, bound by chains, had a limited attack range, greatly reducing the danger to him.

But!

Just as Soren dodged the attack, a sinister smile appeared on Balor's face as he growled, "Mortal! You cannot escape!"

--"Charm Monster!"

Evil Spell Aura emerged, and Balor raised his hand and pointed at Soren, activating his own Spell-like Ability.

Soren's body was hit instantly.

Immediately, a row of data appeared before his eyes:

"You have been attacked by Balor's [Charm Monster!..."

"Slayer Form activated!... Divine Power conversion!... You are immune to this Spell's effects!..."

Soren landed safely.

Balor's expression seemed somewhat incredulous. It roared and swung its Flame Whip of Balor again, while simultaneously unleashing another Spell at Soren.

--"Law: Stun!"

The Flame Whip of Balor whistled past, and the Evil Spell Aura struck Soren once more. But this time, Soren didn't even try to Dodge; he directly withstood the Balor's Spell while simultaneously wielding his Scimitar to strike at the Flame Whip.

A piece of information appeared:

"You have been attacked by Balor's [Law: Stun]!..."

"Slayer Form activated!... Divine Power conversion!... Hit Points above 200 points!... Resilience passed the check!... You are completely immune to the effects of this Spell!..."

A sarcastic smile crept across Soren's lips.

He dared to challenge the High-tier Legendary Balor because, in Change Shape Slayer form, he was essentially immune to the Balrog's control abilities. Spell like 'Law: Stun ' were highly likely to fail against a powerful Hit Points like Soren! Very few of Balor's Control Spell were effective against him!

As if in disbelief, Balor immediately unleashed several Spell at Soren.

"Mind Control!"

--"Unholy Aura!"

"Blasphemous Utterance!"

The enraged Balor uttered ancient Blasphemy, these Evil evil languages seemingly imbued with some powerful magic. As it spoke these corrupt words, the surrounding air was filled with an Evil energy. This time, Soren was no longer unmoved. His expression changed slightly, as if he were in pain and madness, his body trembling uncontrollably, as if he were enduring immense suffering.

Balor couldn't help but burst into laughter!

The arrogant enemy before him finally fell for its Spell; the blasphemous words had taken effect on him.

"Ah!!!"

Soren let out a painful howl, then stood up trembling, his pupils glowing with an eerie blood-red light, and his violent aura growing even stronger.

He simply opened his mouth slightly and uttered a Blasphemy filled with the same Evil.

Blasphemous Utterance!

A dense array of data suddenly appeared before Soren's eyes.
