Brass Dragon
About 300 kilometers south along the desert.
There is a rather special place with a volcano, though it hasn't erupted for centuries. This volcano is Soren's destination, and the third Elemental Crystal is on an altar near the volcano. Fire Elemental is the most difficult of the four elements to deal with, but for Soren, having just dealt with a Balor, dealing with some Fire Elemental is as easy as child's play.
With his current Fire Resistance and the power of the Scimitar Icetail, he basically doesn't need to fear their flames.
But!
There was also something here that he was somewhat wary of.
--A Dragon!
Dragon have always lived all over the world, but most of them don't like places with human activity, so many Dragon build their nests in uninhabited areas. Soren's current location naturally meets all the requirements of Dragon, so his destination is actually the territory of an adult Dragon. Although this is not the first time Soren has fought against Dragon, he is not naive enough to think that he can easily take on Dragon one-on-one.
In particular, the Dragon that dwells here is not so easy to deal with.
That's a ' Brass Dragon '!
Brass Dragon are chaotic Good Alignment Dragon. Unlike the Pure-blood Dragon Soren encountered in the past, Brass Dragon belong to the Metallic Dragon category, while Red Dragon and White Dragon belong to the Chromatic Dragon category. Metallic Dragon Dragon mostly Good Alignment, so they are not very aggressive. Unfortunately, as Lawful Evil beings, Metallic Dragon are just as dangerous to Soren as Chromatic Dragon. This is the downside of Alignment Evil; you're likely to fight with Good Alignment, and you're equally likely to fight with Evil- aligned Alignment.
A fully grown Brass Dragon resides here.
Its existence was already known to others, and even desert caravans had encountered it, calling it the ' Desert Wind '.
The Brass Dragon is a very special kind of Dragon.
What makes them special is that they have a unique characteristic: they love to chat and joke around with others!
There is a passage that records them as follows.
"Brass Dragon Brass Dragon are extremely talkative and eloquent. They can sometimes provide Adventurer with useful information, but usually, it takes a long chat and hints of giving them a gift before they will reveal their secrets."
"The pupils of Brass Dragon will gradually darken as it ages, eventually resembling molten metal spheres."
"Brass Dragon prefer dry, high temperatures and spend most of their time basking in the desert sun. They emit a strong metallic or sandy smell. They like to build their nests in high caves."
"Brass Dragon can eat almost anything, but they eat very little, obtaining nutrients from the morning dew. Because Brass Dragon and Blue Dragon share the same habitat, Blue Dragon are the most dangerous enemies for Brass Dragon. In a one-on-one conflict, the larger Blue Dragon will likely have the upper hand..."
"For Brass Dragon, talking to Adventurer is more appealing than fighting."
That's right!
You read that right, the Brass Dragon's label says things like "extremely talkative," "eloquent," and "loves to chat."
To put it in the simplest and most straightforward way...
Brass Dragon are the most talkative of all the Pure-blood Dragon species, and they're naturally talkative.
There was a saying back then.
"What's most likely to emerge from Chaotic Alignment? Without a doubt! Fools!!!" (Note: Chaos has always produced fools.)
Brass Dragon.
They're the goofballs among the Dragon, naturally Chaotic Good and incredibly talkative. They're not just goofballs, they're the toughest goofballs out there!
Where Soren has now arrived.
That is, the territory of the Brass Dragon known as ' Desert Wind ', which once did something very silly.
It kidnapped a group of Adventurer.
Then he forced them to chat with him for three whole days and three nights!
After satisfying its urge to talk, it finally released the group of Adventurer were almost driven mad by its own chatter.
Because it hadn't done anything particularly bad and possessed considerable strength, this Brass Dragon was rarely challenged. Essentially, this Desert Region was its independent kingdom, and it lived there quite well until the end of the Time of Troubles. Perhaps naturally goofy creatures are often lucky. In any case, Soren hadn't heard of anyone killing it. (Note 1: Brass Dragon are not numerous; most live in uninhabited deserts.)
(Note 2: Because it lives in a desolate desert, the Brass Dragon's desire to be a chatterbox is often not satisfied.)
A volcano appeared before Soren's eyes.
Fortunately, the Brass Dragon did not appear; the Dragon spent a large part of its Hit Points sleeping.
Finding the Elemental Altar is not difficult.
Because all Elemental Altar share a common characteristic: they are protected by Elemental Life nearby. Therefore, finding the Fire Elemental will allow you to locate the Elemental Altar.
--"Fly!"
Soren searched carefully near the volcano and soon discovered traces of Fire Elemental.
Dealing with these Fire Elemental was not difficult; Soren's Fire Resistance was enough to ignore the flames on their bodies, so he easily took care of a large group of them.
The Slaughter Experience is constantly accumulating.
After Soren cleared away a significant amount of Fire Elemental near the Elemental Altar, he gradually approached the center of the altar.
Then he began to search carefully.
Time passed little by little!
Soren's expression grew increasingly puzzled, and finally he stood there with a furrowed brow, seemingly lost in thought.
Fire Elemental Crystal are not here.
This is very strange, because according to his memory, the location of the four Elemental Crystal should be correct. Although the specific details weren't revealed at the time, the general location shouldn't lie; the Fire Elemental Crystal should be here. Soren obtained the first two Elemental Crystal from the altar, so why can't he find the Elemental Crystal [Fire] here?
He searched again, unwilling to give up.
Unfortunately, they still found nothing, but Soren did discover a hidden compartment where the Elemental Crystal were stored.
It was completely empty!
The Fire Elemental Crystal was taken away.
This discovery immediately put Soren in a difficult position, because the loss of any one of the four Elemental Crystal was unacceptable. If someone had indeed taken them, who knew if he could ever get them back? Even if he could, he didn't know how much time it would take. Soren was currently racing against time and couldn't afford to waste too much energy on this. If the Fire Elemental Crystal was truly missing, he would probably have no choice but to give up.
Just when Soren couldn't find any clues at all, a voice suddenly came from above him.
"Hey!"
"Where Rogue come from! How dare he come to my territory to steal things?!"
The sound was very loud.
However, there was still a hint of naivety in her eyes.
Upon hearing the sound, Soren almost instantly flipped backward and retreated, simultaneously drawing his Scimitar Icetail with a clang. He crouched slightly, ready to fight at any moment.
I'm an old lady?!
When Soren looked up and gazed ahead, his expression froze for a moment.
Standing about fifty meters in front of him was a little girl, about 1.2 meters tall, wearing a gold princess dress with floral trim and dazzling gemstones. Her long, light gold hair fell naturally, and her face looked very cute and charming, but her expression was rather precocious. At that moment, she pointed a pink finger at Soren in front of her, pouted, and said, "Hey! I'm asking you a question! Why are you stealing things from my territory?"
"Hello!?"
"Is he mute? Or is he an idiot? Or was he scared silly by my domineering aura?"
"Are you really scared out of your wits?"
"Could we be that unlucky? They finally managed to catch a human!"
Before Soren could even speak...
In the short time he was distracted, the little girl in front of him had already said a lot.
but.
He seems to know who she is!
