Dragon Covenant
(As an author who often makes silly mistakes, it's not easy to write a good book for you all. --The silly and adorable Futuzi.)
Arendelle, Land of Ice and Snow.
The shadow of war has dissipated, and this wealthy and prosperous city is gradually recovering its vitality. Although the legend of Pirate King Soren still circulates in the taverns, fueling speculation about the relationship between this legendary Pirate King and Princess Anna, people are beginning to get used to some changes in their lives. For example, some Chamber of Commerce have recently sprung up in the port, where one can buy many specialties from the southern part of the continent, and occasionally some luxury goods from the Eastern Realm are also transported over.
Merchants are actively vying for permission to Southern Route, although this will come at a price: purchasing a pass issued by Pirate King Soren.
However, the substantial profits are still enough to attract the attention of businessmen.
Recently, some have said that this legendary Pirate King has essentially established a maritime kingdom, ruling over vast seas and setting his own rules within them. As they gain a deeper understanding of the southern coast, many merchants making their first Southern Route agree with this assessment. Only by purchasing a pass issued by the Pirate King can they safely reach the South Coast, with pirate ships even providing escort for their merchant vessels.
This is something that has only happened once in hundreds of years!
However, without the passage order issued by His Excellency the Pirate King, they dared to guarantee that the merchant ships would only be able to sail on the sea for a day or two at most before being completely wiped out, leaving nothing behind.
Soren's methods were absolutely ruthless and Cruelty!
The key to everything lies in the amount. If Soren takes half the profits, the merchants will definitely complain. But if he can leave them half the profits and guarantee their safety, they will gradually get used to it after the initial discomfort. In fact, people adapt quite quickly. Recently, even merchants from other routes are preparing to issue a pass so that they can have Soren's fleet escort them until they leave the territory of the Viking Pirate.
The Viking Pirate are having a tough time lately!
I heard that one or two very fierce and domineering pirate Boss have arrived on the South Coast, and their pirate henchmen are all quite capable fighters. They've actually Viking Pirate and the fight is still evenly matched.
The rules on the sea are changing little by little, and those who cannot adapt will be eliminated.
Chaos is the real disaster.
Even an Evil Order can bring prosperity.
Soren's exploitation did not dampen the merchants' enthusiasm. After careful calculation, these profit-driven traders were surprised to find that they still enjoyed substantial profits after obtaining the shipping route permits, and their safety was further guaranteed. While war was gradually spreading in the south, the Land of Ice and Snow remained relatively peaceful. Many goods sold well there, especially grain. A single shipment of grain could earn double the profit, and it sold out as soon as it arrived at port. (Note: Grain prices had already doubled.)
This day.
It was a very special day for Arendelle.
On this very day, a blue portal suddenly opened in the sky above Arendelle, and then, to the chagrin of everyone, the Princess's noble figure appeared like a goddess.
She stood in the air, looking down at the city before her. Her shimmering azure dress billowed in the wind, and sunlight streamed down from behind her, making her appear like a goddess descending from the Princess. All who saw Princess cheered. Many gathered in the streets, kneeling humbly before her. In an instant, all of Arendelle Princess in jubilation. The appearance of the Princess seemed to instantly fill this icy kingdom with life and energy.
Her Princess has finally returned!
Arendelle is safe.
In the eyes of the people of this country, it seems that as long as the Princess is still alive, they have nothing to worry about.
"Finally back!..."
The Princess stood in the sky, gazing down at her jubilant subjects. Her gaze then fell upon the azure gate, where a strange, silvery-white light, as dazzling as spreading smoke, shimmered—a place somewhere in the Astral Plane. The Princess let out a soft sigh, then gently waved her hand. A long staircase of ice and snow appeared beneath her feet, and she descended from the sky, walking step by step towards the Imperial Palace. The ice and snow staircase gradually dissipated after she left.
However, accompanied by a strange, ethereal light, glistening snowflakes began to fall throughout Arendelle.
"Elder Sister!!!"
Princess Anna was already waiting in front of the Imperial Palace. When she saw the Princess walking towards her step by step, our Little Princess, who had been living in fear for the past few months, finally couldn't hold back anymore. With her eyes slightly red, she rushed into the Princess's arms.
My Elder Sister is finally back.
Princess Anna burst into tears. When she saw the Princess, the pressure she had been under for so long finally made her want to let it all out.
The return of the Princess carries such special significance.
Below the Imperial Palace steps, the Court Witch Commander and the Captain of the Guard exchanged a glance, both feeling a sense of relief. As for the others inside the Imperial Palace, upon seeing the Princess, they seemed to regain their composure, their spirits lifting and their energy returning. For all of Arendelle, this Princess, who had held power since the age of twelve, was truly extraordinary; her prestige within the kingdom surpassed that of most King and monarchs throughout history.
Soren, of course, was unaware of the Princess's return.
In fact, he was now troubled by something else entirely: the Psion hadn't been fully saved yet, and the Loli Dragon who had initially planned to adventure with him was now preparing to leave.
It's very inexplicable.
It happened so suddenly; Soren was completely unprepared.
The Loli Dragon standing next to him suddenly announced that she was planning to leave, without even asking Soren's opinion; she was simply stating her decision.
All right.
You absolutely cannot expect too much from teammates in the Chaotic Alignment.
Chaos has always produced... well, you know.
This fact was confirmed only after numerous verifications.
Are you really planning to leave?
Soren looked at the Loli Dragon before him, his expression somewhat helpless, and said, "Leaving now? I can't see you off! You'll probably have to leave the Underdark on your own."
The little girl's expression was slightly complicated, but she nodded after a moment and said, "No need. I can teleport away myself."
"I'm preparing to return to Dragon Isle."
"Even the Spider Queen has appeared in the mortal realm. I'm a little worried that something might happen back home."
Soren glanced at her upon hearing this and said in a deep voice, "Alright. Be careful. Don't linger in the Astral Plane after you teleport; it's probably not very safe Astral Plane lately."
The Loli Dragon's home planet is definitely not in the Material Plane.
Soren visited Dragon Isle in the Material Plane, but there were only a few dragons there. The real Dragon Isle is located within the realm of the Dragon God.
Plane Shift.
The Astral Plane is an important Transit Station, but it's not as safe as Astral Plane used to be.
The Loli Dragon sized up Soren, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Soren! You must be very rich, right?"
rich?
Soren paused for a moment at the question, but still nodded and replied, "You'd be considered wealthy, right? Why do you ask?!"
Do you need to borrow money?
Soren had never heard of Dragon repaying a loan.
"That's good." The Loli Dragon smiled slightly upon hearing this, then raised her small, white hand, gesturing for Soren to offer his palm, and said, "Come on, put your hand like this towards me."
Soren paused for a moment.
He seemed to have thought of something, and obediently offered his hand.
"I!"
"Princess Alice of the Brass Dragon Kingdom, following an ancient covenant, has forged an alliance with the human before her Soren!"
"I swear in the sacred name of the Dragonkind!..."
"When our allies need help, we will demand reasonable compensation and help them overcome their difficulties!..."
"In the name of the Brass Dragon!..."
"On behalf of the Dragonkind, I hereby forge the [Dragon Covenant] with the humans before me!!!"
A strange Spell Aura erupted.
As the Loli Dragon before him completed some kind of oath in strange Draconic, a row of data rapidly appeared before Soren's eyes:
"Special situation triggered!..."
"Alice of the Brass Dragon Kingdom requests to form a [Dragon Covenant] with you!... This is the oldest soul contract, requiring 50,000 points of Slaughter Experience!..."
"Would you like to conclude an alliance?...?"
It really is the [Dragon Covenant]!
Soren chose to pay the Slaughter Experience without even thinking twice.
This is a type of soul contract.
It's equivalent to directly extracting a portion of Soul Energy, but Soren's Slaughter Experience is the source of Soul Energy, so he can use the Slaughter Experience to replace the consumption of [Dragon Covenant].
A mysterious power spread.
Overwhelmed by indescribable feelings, Soren forged the most sacred [Dragon Covenant] with the Loli Dragon before him.
certainly.
This covenant is sacred only to Dragonkind. Given their domineering and arrogant nature, this alliance is often quite harsh.
"Dragon Covenant [Legendary Ability]: You have forged a sacred Dragon Covenant with Princess of the Brass Dragon Clan. From now on, you can directly summon Brass Dragon from across the Multiverse to aid you by paying 10,000 Slaughter Experience points (Plane Shift, minimum summoning of an adult Dragon). The sacred Dragon Covenant can relay the request to the vast majority of Brass Dragon, including the Elder Dragon and Primordial Dragon of the Brass Dragon Clan."
But!
Please note that this kind of help is not without cost!
Using the Dragon Covenant requires at least one Gold Daler. It may summon 1-3 adult Brass Dragon to respond to your call.
The more powerful the Dragon you summon, the greater the reward you will have to pay.
[Note: If you cannot pay a reward that satisfies the Dragon, you may be attacked by Dragon or have your Dragon Covenant canceled. However, if you pay a reward that greatly satisfies the Dragon, and even earn you a reputation for generosity among Dragon, you may be able to summon Elder Dragon and Primordial Dragon to aid you when needed.]
(Document 1: [Dragon Covenant] sometimes appears as a Spell of the Level 7 or higher. This Spell randomly summons other types of Dragon. In most cases, it's because certain gods or beings have made a very ancient covenant with the Ancient Dragon. This covenant has been passed down for thousands of years and has not been canceled due to breach, so it eventually evolved into a Spell. Spellcaster of certain factions can inherit this covenant and use Spell to summon Dragon to their aid.)
(Data 2: Soren is now essentially the first person to possess the Dragon Covenant. If he does not lose his eligibility for the Dragon Covenant for any reason, and if he becomes Deity or some other being beyond mortals in the future, his future priests or the Spellcaster he trains can inherit the Dragon Covenant he has now forged.)
(Document 3: The Dragon Covenant is one of the few abilities that requires Slaughter Experience. Even as Spell memory, it requires Slaughter Experience. Furthermore, this type of summoning is the most expensive summoning ritual.) (To be continued~^~)
