Thirst for Slaughter
The departure of the Loli Dragon left Soren feeling a bit lonely.
Along the way, she had gradually gotten used to the little girl's talkative nature, and suddenly, after she left Soren, she always felt that something was missing.
The Psion still hasn't awakened.
However, her Hit Points was clearly gradually recovering. Soren's Divine Gift neutralized the Spider Queen's curse of Trickery, and even the remaining Negative Energy Erosion was not enough to threaten her Hit Points.
Boom!
A violent tremor suddenly came from the front.
They were now close to one of the exits of the Underdark. Soren's objectives for this trip were essentially complete; he had obtained the Divine Rank Shard and fused the Elemental Crystal. There was no need for him to stay any longer. His original plan was to leave the Underdark from here, then take the Psion back to the Overseas Islands and try to get a Legendary priest to cast [Greater Restoration] on her. With the Spider Queen personally performing the ritual, ordinary methods were practically useless; it was estimated that only Legendary priest could attempt it.
Priest of the Goddess of Wealth, High Priest of the Temple of the Sea.
Soren can always find a way, even if it comes at a price; after all, he's already invested so much in the woman in his arms.
Rumble!
Another violent tremor was heard.
Soren is now certain that a battle is taking place ahead, right on his path!
The battle took place near the exit.
This was the only relatively close exit, and the fact that the battle was taking place here made his heart skip a beat.
"Is it Drow? Or someone else?"
Soren found a secluded corner and put the Psion in his arms down. He wouldn't be able to take care of her if a battle broke out later, so he could only settle her aside for the time being.
--"Stealth."
Soren's figure blended into the darkness, then slowly approached the location of the battle.
The smell of blood.
It has a very strong smell of blood.
Before even approaching the battle area, Soren smelled a strong, familiar stench of blood, a scent that seemed to awaken a deep-seated Thirst for Slaughter within him.
Someone he desperately wanted to kill!
--"Reinhard, the God of Vampires!"
Vivian's biggest threat right now.
The Vampire God Child always felt like a thorn in Soren's side, like a knife hanging over their heads at any moment. He was one of the few people Soren dreamed of killing!
Don't kill him.
Vivian will be in danger!
But Soren wasn't a reckless person. He knew very well that he was no match for the Vampire God Child, and even if he combined Goria and Vivian, they might not be able to defeat him.
Because Avatar are inherently beings who transcend mortals!
Even though Soren has now advanced to the Demigod realm, he is still some distance from becoming Avatar Form.
There is energy dissipating in the air.
The smell of blood, the aura of darkness, the fluctuations of elements, the radiance of Divine Magic, and a power that Soren found extremely unsettling, filled him with apprehension yet also a sense of familiarity.
A terrifying power!
It didn't come from any one person; the Demigod's intuition, like Sixth Sense, led Soren to believe it came from something.
Sixth Sense!
It seems that after entering the Demigod realm, his Sixth Sense has become increasingly stronger.
Bang!
The sound of flesh slamming against the wall, along with a flute melody that seemed to bewitch his ears, caused a momentary sense of despair in Soren's heart, a despair so intense that he felt suicidal. However, this feeling was only fleeting. Soren then completely recovered and became immune to the influence of the flute melody.
The Magic Flute!
Legendary Bard are here!
He appears to be Bard from the fallen Alignment, since a normal Bard should be using heroic hymns to boost morale.
"It really was him!!!"
A glint of light suddenly flashed in Soren's eyes, followed by a surge of frenzied killing intent within him.
Reinhard, the Vampire God Child!
Soren's intuition was correct. The bloody scent truly came from his greatest threat— the God of Vampires!
but.
The Thirst for Slaughter within him did not lead Soren to rush out impulsively; instead, he retreated slightly, blending deeper into the shadows and remaining hidden.
He also saw another person!
An incredibly powerful Bard. Soren had never seen a Bard who could simultaneously wield a Longsword and fight two Paladin while playing a Feat Legendary War Song. It was unheard of; Soren didn't even know if the [Combat Performance] feat existed, or if it required [Combat Casting] and [Mobile Spellcasting] to support it. This Bard completely overturned Soren's previous impressions; his close combat skills were enough to make many high-ranking Rogue blush with shame.
What kind of monster is this?!
Isn't Bard supposed to be a versatile profession? When did it become something so perverse?
Could he be the legendary Hell Poet?
"Paladin?"
"It's them! What are they doing here?"
Soren turned his gaze to the other side, and the appearance of the Paladin before him surprised him, for among them were the same people he had encountered near the desert.
Warden!
The Holy Avenger's Paladin.
Soren once revealed the location of the Artifact component [Eye of Torm] to them as a trade, and at the time they made it clear that they would spare no expense to retrieve the repaired parts of the Holy Avenger.
But.
Soren hadn't expected them to run into each other here.
However, judging by the timeline, from the moment Soren told them their location until now, these Paladin should have already arrived in the Underdark.
So, does that mean they've already obtained the Eye of Torm and are preparing to leave and return to the Surface World?
And why is the Vampire God Child here!?
Did they just happen to run into each other?
Soren was filled with questions, but he couldn't guess the answers, because everything could be a coincidence. If he hadn't told the Paladin there were Artifact parts here, they probably wouldn't have come to the Underdark for no reason.
"Perhaps this is an opportunity!"
A murderous glint appeared in Soren's eyes as he stealthily moved along the edge of the battlefield.
The battle continues.
The Vampire God Child and the Hell Poet clearly had the upper hand, both possessing the strength of High-tier Legendary, one of whom was even Deity in Avatar Form. If it were an ordinary Legendary Professional, they would probably have been killed by them long ago. However, they were facing Paladin after all, whose restraining effect against the Evil Alignment was very obvious, and there was also a very powerful priest.
The most important point is!
Both the Vampire God Child and the Hell Poet seemed to be wary of something, and they were somewhat timid and hesitant during the battle, as if they were afraid of the weapon on one of them.
Even though the weapon hasn't been drawn yet.
"Could it be!!!...?"
Soren seemed to have realized something, and a hint of surprise appeared on his face!
What weapon could make a saint Avatar of Deity of a Avatar, so wary?
In his memory, there seemed to be only a few. And the one that these Paladin might be carrying was undoubtedly the most famous one among them!
--[Holy Avenger] -Carsomyr +5!
It was as if they had made some kind of decision.
Soren stepped back slightly, and then a strange ring appeared in his palm.
Ring of the Lich +5!
This powerful Tier 5 Legendary equipment was never used by Soren from the moment he acquired it.
The reason is simple.
Because this Legendary Equipment is cursed, wearing it reduces your Constitution by two points, and you can't remove it yourself; you must first remove the curse. Wearing it is equivalent to reducing your Hit Points by one point per class level. The reduction in Constitution directly affects class level, so Soren will lose over twenty points of maximum Hit Points at once. Unless you're an Undead Hit Points form, no one else can resist the Ring of the Lich's +5 curse effect.
This equipment is a double-edged sword!
Soren wouldn't wear it unless absolutely necessary.
Elemental Crystal.
Soren entered a state of full preparation for battle. He not only put on the cursed Ring of the Lich +5, but also took out the fused Elemental Crystal.
Item type: Elemental Crystal [Fusion].
Item Tier: [Tier 3 Legendary Item]
Item Description: A special treasure from the Elemental Plane, formed into a single, unified entity after being fused with earth, water, wind, and fire. It possesses powerful magic, allowing the user to unleash various Spell or summon Elemental Life to fight. This Elemental Crystal appears to bear some unusual marks after the fusion, suggesting it may have some unknown origin.
Equipment requirements: None.
Special effects: Elemental Legion (1 time/3 days), Stoneskin (3 times/1 day), Ice Storm (3 times/1 day), Fireball (3 times/1 day), Lightning Bolt (3 times/1 day).
The fused Elemental Crystal are very different.
There's not much improvement in the Spell available; they're still limited to Stoneskin, Ice Storm, Fireball, and Lightning Bolt. While the Angel limit has increased, these are still relatively low-tier Spell.
The most crucial change is in the Elemental Legion, because this is a Legendary Spell.
"Elemental Legion [Epic Spell]: Activates the power of CR Elemental Crystal to summon a group of Huge Fire Elemental, Huge Earth Elemental, Huge Water Elemental, and giant Air Elemental, all of level 16 or higher with a base Hit Points of 12 or more. The number summoned is 2-6. There is a possibility of summoning a Legendary Elemental Elder."
That's the most awesome ability!
Having this is like carrying an Elemental Legion with you; when needed, you can instantly overwhelm your enemies with a group of henchmen.
Rogue are more afraid of being surrounded and attacked.
Because he himself isn't particularly resilient to attacks, Soren desperately needs a tank like this to share the damage.
The battle continues.
Soren began casting Spell on himself, slowly approaching the battlefield.
Ring of the Lich, Elemental Crystal, Slayer Shape.
Soren no longer has any intention of holding back; his biggest desire now is to cut off the head of the Vampire God Child.
Vivian is safe now!...(To be continued~^~)
