Soren's mind has been in a state of confusion during this period.

It wasn't just the constant influx of faith from the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' into his brain; more importantly, every prayer and invocation of the believers' 'divine name' made Soren feel a will interfering with him. This was a very powerful force of will, far stronger than the will of the Demon Lord of Fear had previously confronted, because it was a complete Divine Will. Although the God of Half-Elves and Rogues was dead, He was not entirely dead, for He still had many followers remaining in the Material Plane.

The believers are praying.

But they weren't calling for Soren's name; they were calling for the name of the dead Deity. At this moment, Soren, as the successor and vessel of the Portfolio, received this faith, yet he also rejected it. This force clashed within him, the remaining Divine Will making its final, death throes. Each time a prayer arose, that will grew stronger, and Soren needed to expend more energy to fight it. In the end, Soren almost completely lost his perception of the outside world; his spirit, his will, his mind were all fighting against the pervasive faith and prayers, and the Divine Will that lashed out with each prayer.

This is a struggle.

In a battle between Deity, without interference from others, Soren might go mad for a long time, like other Deity. (Note: Just like the Dark Sun's period of madness.)

Ultimately, the victor of the clash of wills will decide everything! (Note: The conflict between Arthas and the Lich King.)

Soren refused to believe he would lose.

In fact, his will could not possibly be defeated. What truly influenced him the most was his Portfolio faith, because the information contained within this power was simply too vast.

There was a very forbidden Spell back then.

Its name is [Karsus's Avatar], a twelfth-level Spell, and also the most powerful Spell in history!

Archmage Karsus, using the power of this Spell, overthrew the first Goddess of Magic. He then seized her Divine Power, temporarily transforming himself into Deity Form. However, what followed was unforeseen: Karsus, perhaps one of the most powerful Archmage in history, couldn't withstand the immense Divine Power power of the Goddess of Magic and self-destructed. This ultimately led to the end of the Silver-Earth Era; the collapse of the Weave directly Destruction a glorious era.

No matter how much mortals boast that Arcanist possess power comparable to Deity, one thing remains unchanged: Deity can only be compared to, but rarely surpassed.

Karsus was probably the most accomplished but also the most tragically killed Archmage in history!

The realm of the Deity.

It was at this time that the exploration began.

respite.

Heavy breathing.

Soren was soaked in sweat, but his eyes gradually cleared.

The pain is subsiding.

The 0s and 1s jumping around in front of him were gradually returning to normal. The electrical current in Soren's brain had weakened considerably. After the extreme pain, it seemed that a new realm had been triggered, allowing him to feel a strange and indescribable Divine Power.

If we were to use a metaphor to explain everything at this point...

Soren, having received the Portfolio of ' Half-Elf and Rogue,' was like a computer. Through various enhancements and his own training, his brain's processing power was already astonishing. However, this astonishing processing power, upon contact with Weave [Faith Network] above the magic network, which specifically served various Deity, caused Soren's brain to gradually approach collapse, as if a computer's CPU was about to burn out. Yet, precisely under these circumstances, due to the prayers of his believers, the will of the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' launched a desperate counterattack. One can imagine the immense pressure Soren was under at that moment.

The Weave is just one part of a vast network!

Above the nine layers of the Weave, above the realm where Epic Spell come into contact, lies an even more powerful [Faith Network] that serves the Deity.

The 12th Ring Spell ' Karsus's Avatar ' that caused the car to overturn the first generation of the Goddess of Magic was a technique that touched upon this field.

However, as this Archmage self-destructed due to his inability to withstand the Divine Power power of the Goddess of Magic, the second-generation Goddess of Magic completely sealed off the Weave above the ninth layer, transforming it into a faith-receiving network and then making it available to many Deity. Simply put, she turned the [Faith Network] into a shortcut for bestowing Divine Magic.

Soren's condition is very similar to that of the Archmage!

The Archmage was directly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and Divine Power within the Weave, while Soren was exposed to a vast amount of information belonging to the gods of the ' Half-Elf and Rogue ' on Deity [Faith Network], putting him in a state close to mental chaos and madness.

Insufficient computing power!

The Divine Rank level could not withstand the connections brought about by a large number of faith prayers, and Soren's spirit could not bear the calls of thousands of believers.

More importantly, it wasn't even him who was being called upon!

Karsus, possibly the most powerful Archmage, was instantly destroyed, while Soren remained within the limits of his endurance.

Because the Time of Troubles is imminent.

Both the lower-level [Weave] and the higher-level [Faith Network] will decline with the Time of Troubles. At that time, the Gods will only be able to connect with very devout believers, and will not be able to connect simply by calling out a name as they do now.

The Deity have this power.

"Holy Name [Deity Realm]: Any object related to Him, or any person who utters His holy name, can enter the Deity's perception range for one hour, whether in His temple, altar, statue, or when His believer utters His holy name."

This is the reason for Soren's suffering.

This is also why many people don't readily call out the names of Deity and deities!

Soren was like a primitive computer that, without sufficient external programs (Divine Rank), directly connected to the vast network of the Interstellar Era. The overwhelming amount of information almost drove him insane. As someone who had just come into contact with the advanced network, Soren hadn't even figured out how to disconnect from the network before his will was severely challenged.

And at that very moment...

The Psion appeared; she unplugged Soren's internet cable and then severed all connections to faith.

Soren has temporarily broken away from the Deity ' [Faith Network].

Not being able to access areas above the ninth layer of the Weave gave him a chance to catch his breath, and his spirit gradually recovered. However, the will of the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ', which had lost its connection to him, rapidly weakened and was erased by Soren in the blink of an eye. This led to everything that happened in Falling Leaf City: all the statues of the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' lost their power, and some even cracked and collapsed.

He is dead.

Soren has fully taken over His Portfolio, but has not yet taken over His followers.

The reason is simple!

Holy name.

The believers still chanted the original holy name of the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues,' but now Soren needed to respond to their prayers and answer their calls with a new holy name, a holy name that belonged only to him.

The idol has become a mortal object.

However, the temples that serve the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' still retain Divine Power, a fact that any wise believer would discover.

If even the Portfolio has disappeared, then there should be no power left in the temple!

"Hmm! What's wrong with me? Am I too tired? Did I suddenly fall asleep?"

The Noble Girl shook her head as she climbed up from the carriage. She looked up and saw a man and a woman sitting before her. Her expression seemed somewhat surprised, then she seemed to gradually recall something and asked in confusion, "Did I sleep for a long time? It seems like I've forgotten something."

"Yes, you slept for a while," the Masked Woman said with a smile and a nod.

The Noble Girl rubbed her forehead and muttered, "Really? Looks like I really did fall asleep."

She glanced at the two people in front of her.

Everything was pretty much the same as she remembered, as if nothing had happened. The only difference was that the man's eyes seemed much brighter, and she glanced at them and inexplicably had a feeling of wanting to worship him.

The girl shook her head, putting the strange feeling aside. When she looked down at the carriage, her delicate body trembled.

Bronze censer.

On the bronze stove that Sir Eden brought in, there were five clear fingerprints, which had been left on it at some point.

(P. S.: I spent a long time organizing materials to write today's chapter, so it's a bit late. Sorry. There will be another update today.) (To be continued~^~)
