Evil God Ritual
In the shadows.
One after another, figures vanished into the crowd, these slender, elongated Rogue quickly disappearing from sight. More than half of the Rogue Soren brought were Half-Elf; the original Church of the ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' naturally didn't consist of just a few priests. In fact, within the Church was a special department containing a considerable number of mid- to high-ranking Rogue. Unfortunately, very few Rogue could cross the Legendary threshold; they found it even harder to advance to the Legendary Domain than Warrior. Therefore, even though the Church held the [Rogue] Portfolio, the highest-ranking Rogue was only a level 18 Stalker.
This is mainly because the original ' God of Half-Elves and Rogues ' was too weak!
Deity with Quasi-Divinity can hardly bestow much strength, and He was even severely injured by the Lord of Shadows. Furthermore, He even had many Rogue take on the role of level one or two priests. It's unclear whether He was out of his mind to have the Church make such a decision. Given the limitations of this era, many Deity ' vision may not be particularly far-reaching.
"No enemies!"
"Unknown creature detected! Everyone be careful!"
"Ah!"
"Prepare for battle! Prepare for battle!"
"It's Mutated Plant! Watch out for those vines!"
Figures spread out, carefully surveying the surrounding terrain, but soon screams rang out, and Soren vanished from his spot in an instant.
Clang!
With a cold glint of light, Soren's figure swept in like a whirlwind, instantly slicing a strange, mutated vine into countless fragments.
"My Lord!"
The Constrict and wounded Half-Elf Rogue landed and knelt with difficulty on one knee before Soren.
Soren glanced at him, waved his hand, and ordered, "Help him down for treatment. Everyone else, be extra careful; there are many Mutated Plant here."
Elite Pirate also began to move.
The dense jungle here has virtually no paths; you have to clear a way by hacking your way through the undergrowth. Behind the group are some Longbowman. Half-Elf are known for producing excellent archers, but Soren didn't bring many with him. This is because pirates' fighting style naturally includes ranged weapons such as throwing axes, Throwing Dagger, Wrist Dart, and Hand Crossbow. Their combat skills far surpass those of systematically trained wagon riders, and their equipment is naturally more flexible and diverse.
Huge footprints appeared on the ground.
Many parts of this island are owned. The footprints Soren saw had three arthropods, somewhat like those left by some kind of Dinosaur, but could also be from another creature.
The group did not stop and quickly passed through the area.
On the other side.
About ten kilometers away from Soren, a group of natives dressed in simple clothes and painted with greasepaint were hunting.
"Stop!"
Suddenly, the leader, an elderly Native Warrior with a gloomy face, waved for the others to stop. He then leaped onto a tree trunk and said in a deep voice, "There's something going on over there!"
Discovering the enemy doesn't necessarily mean seeing them.
The natives were very familiar with the geography of this place. The old Warrior, gazing at the birds startled into flight from the distant jungle, seemed to sense the approaching danger and slowly said, "You few, go back!"
"There might be some wild beast migrating over there. The rest of you, come with me to take a look."
Two thousand people is not a small number.
Although Soren was very careful and managed to deceive the natives, he couldn't hide it from the birds and beasts that frequented the island. The advance of the group startled many birds, and the animals fled as far as they could. For the natives, who were quite familiar with the environment, this was enough to raise their alarm. However, the Boss of the Warrior seemed to think that some ferocious beasts were approaching, as the island hadn't seen any visitors from the outside world for far too long.
In the shadows.
A series of figures moved forward slowly.
Suddenly, they seemed to have discovered something and scurried into hidden corners. Some short, hunched figures painted with greasepaint appeared, gripping iron spears, and slowly approached.
A cold, gleaming light emerged from the darkness!
In an instant, seven or eight figures of Rogue rushed out of the shadows, followed by the cold glint of weapons, and more than half of the Native Warrior fell to the ground in a flash.
"*%%(¥#*...*¥%...¥..."
The elderly Warrior at the head of the group uttered strange tones, but unfortunately, no one present could understand them. The Rogue did not stop their attack; in an instant, they formed a pincer movement, attacking from both sides. Then, the Warrior Boss's corpse slowly fell to the ground.
"Objective achieved!"
"No enemies nearby!"
The scent of blood silenced the surroundings, and the wild beasts, with their keen sense of smell, fled the forest.
"Looks like a minor leader!"
Soren glanced at the feathers stuck in the natives' bodies and said slowly, "Keep moving forward. Don't scatter too much."
This time, all those brought out were Advanced Class Professional.
The physical strength of professionals far surpasses that of ordinary people, which can sustain this long-distance raid. Soren has no time to expend energy here and plans to strike at the heart of the enemy's stronghold around this evening.
There was a village on the east side of the River Goddess.
Nearby, there was cultivated land and dug irrigation ditches. From a civilizational perspective, this place was far more advanced than the indigenous people of Port Nyanzaru Island. The former resembled a primitive society, but this place had the outlines of Slave. Towering wooden Wooden Wall, nearly one or two meters thick, stood around the village, seemingly to defend against some monster with terrifying power. Arrow Tower on all four sides of the Wooden Wall, with Warrior on guard, and a considerable number of Slave were working. If it weren't for the fact that many parts were too rough and simple, one could probably discern that this was a large town.
Indigenous people favored Slave.
Every tribe is supported by many Slave.
Knock knock knock!
An eerie drumbeat emanated from within the tribe, followed by a somewhat frantic shout, accompanied by strange and jarring syllables.
In the center of the tribe, a group of Priest wearing eerie masks stood on an altar, before a dark red stone. Accompanied by the frenzied shouts of the tribespeople, a squad of Toughness Warrior appeared, escorting a group of prisoners. The prisoners were also natives, but unlike them, the prisoners had white paint on their bodies, while the natives were covered in dark blue paint.
"#¥%..."
A strange, incoherent sound arose, sounding like chanting. When the Shaman Priest raised his hands, the dark mass of natives knelt down, calling out a name.
"Sa... Gu... S!"
This syllable, which is somewhat similar to Common, probably represents the name of something.
"Drink!"
A Cruelty smile crept across the Shaman Priest's lips. He approached the first captive with a bone Dagger, a flash of cold light accompanying the blow. The captive's throat was slit, blood gushing forth and flowing down the rock onto the altar. The crowd below erupted into chaos. As the blood soaked into the altar's surface, some Evil and eerie energy surfaced, causing the faces of all the surrounding natives to display expressions of madness, intoxication, and lust.
Blood Sacrifice.
The most Evil sacrificial practices of the indigenous people involve sacrificing blood, Slaughter and Death to certain beings, thereby pleasing them and providing them with power!
Judging from the dark red bloodstains on the altar, it's impossible to know how long this ritual had been going on.
This is the Evil God's favorite!
It is also the most violent and direct way to increase power. Most of the Deity Church on the continent reject it, and even many Deity of the Evil Alignment have stopped this primitive sacrificial method. Developing believers is far superior to this method of relying on blood sacrifice. It is estimated that only the Abyssal Fiend are still addicted to the Slaughter pleasure of this Blood Sacrifice.
soon.
The second prisoner was then dragged out.
Such sacrifices are often difficult to satisfy the Evil God. If powerful offerings cannot be provided, then quantity must be relied upon to please them. A bloody sacrifice often lasts a long time, with torches lit all around as night falls, followed by a frenzied celebration after the ritual. The indigenous people believe that mating at this time will produce Toughness offspring. These offspring will be blessed by the Deity and possess the power to drive them to Rage.
Such mating may continue until dawn, until the tribe has accumulated enough offerings for the next ceremony.
The sky gradually darkened.
It seemed that the number of offerings prepared this time was not very large. After killing more than a dozen prisoners, the Shaman Priest also brought out some of the imprisoned wild beasts.
A certain being clearly displeased with these non-human sacrifices.
A Evil and eerie aura spread, causing many to tremble with rage. It was no longer a weak Spirits Spirits only passively await the tribe's sacrifices, but it could actively demand that the entire tribe serve it, holding bloody sacrifices every so often to increase its power.
A cold glint appeared in the old Shaman Priest's eyes, and then he gave a few orders in a deep voice.
Soon, cries and screams rang out. Toughness Native Warrior dragged in a group of thin men and women. They wore the same paint as the other natives, but were all ragged and emaciated. Accompanied by a cold glint, the first Slave's throat was slit, and as blood splattered across the altar, a powerful consciousness revealed a hint of satisfaction. The natives kneeling on the altar quickly regained their excited and fanatical expressions.
A faint smile appeared on the lips of the aged Shaman Priest.
He could feel his power growing stronger. Each time he performed a blood sacrifice, his strength would increase. This was a power bestowed upon him by the Deity.
In the darkness.
A series of figures were rapidly approaching, while Warrior in full gear were ready to go further away.
Soren gazed at what lay before him.
As someone about to be deified, he could see the dense, blood-red spiritual light above the indigenous tribe, as well as the power fluctuations generated by some kind of ritual.
Evil God!
Chaotic Evil God.
It's still unclear whether it's Demigod or False Deity, but it's certainly something extremely Chaotic Evil.
