Before he could make a move, a burst of incomprehensible shrieks suddenly came from behind him. Turning around, he saw the sentry Murlocs running over in panic, pointing behind them and crying out as they ran.
Lin Xiao frowned and listened, then immediately looked behind him.
According to the Murlocs, a group of extremely, extremely large creatures was coming.
After a brief consideration, he ordered the group to close ranks and retreat, lest they be attacked from both sides.
Less than a minute later, he saw a group of enormous figures swimming through the distant seawater. At first glance, they looked like a school of sharks, but as the distance closed, he could see fully armed Merfolk Knights riding on their backs.
Yet what drew Lin Xiao's attention most was the particularly enormous whale at the center of the formation. Its twenty- to thirty-meter-long body looked like a Floating Island drifting over, and the Merfolk seated on its back was clad head to toe in thick plate armor. She looked down at them from above.
Behind the formation was another large group of seemingly elite Murloc Warriors, estimated to number over a thousand, following in neat ranks.
These Murloc Warriors were well equipped. Whether in condition or spirit, they were far superior to their kin. Even the way they looked at their own kind carried a trace of arrogance and disdain—the sort of city dweller's contempt for country folk.
