The two looked over to see Guan Fangyi swaying toward them with a smile, her waist twisting, her face radiant with joy. Nantian Wufang followed a step behind her, with Uncle Chen behind them.
The moment Nantian Wufang saw Niu Youdao, he felt somewhat awkward. Though this was their first meeting, Yun Ji's attitude had already told him that Niu Youdao was the master of Thatched Cottage Manor.
In earlier years, he might not have thought much of Niu Youdao. But now that he knew what sort of man he was—a man who had brought down the Nine Saints—how could he dare show him any disrespect?
Before they reached them, Yun Ji quietly explained to Niu Youdao, "Nantian Wufang has left the Demon Cult. Wu Zhaoxing belongs to the Demon Cult and returned to it. Uncle Chen left the Demon Cult long ago. Now he is effectively Nantian Wufang's man, and in a sense, he is still following Matchmaker."
Niu Youdao nodded slightly to show that he understood.
Yun Ji immediately smiled at Guan Fangyi again. "Which ear heard me speaking ill of you?"
"As if you didn't." Guan Fangyi came over with feigned annoyance, then introduced Nantian Wufang to Niu Youdao. "Daoist Master, you know him already, so I don't need to introduce him, do I?"
Niu Youdao said with a smile, "I know him. We've met before."
Nantian Wufang immediately stepped forward and cupped his hands. "Daoist Master."
Yet inwardly, he racked his brain, unable to remember when the two of them had met.
He did not know that Niu Youdao had already seen him back at Demon Ridge. Niu Youdao had been disguised then, and he had no idea that the man he had seen was the person before him now.
"Good." Niu Youdao smiled and nodded.
