That was fast. As a new author, my very first book is finally about to go premium.
Let me report on the results first.
Ever since my submission was accepted, I've been incredibly grateful to my editor for guiding and supporting me all the way. The recommendations, big and small, have never stopped, and my current collection count is just over sixteen thousand.
I heard that when the book reached 120,000 words, it had over six hundred readers following it. But the number seemed to rise and fall—dropping, then climbing, then dropping again. After that, I didn't dare ask anymore, afraid I'd get chewed out.
In short, judging from my editor's tone, she probably felt it was a bit of a shame that my results hadn't lived up to her expectations. Simply put, I'd fallen flat.
But honestly, as a new author with no existing readership, I'm already very satisfied with results like these.
I truly want to thank my editor, Tian Qi, as well as all the esteemed readers who have been following this book.
Arigato!
Thanks!
This book wouldn't be where it is today without you.
I won't try to play the pity card anymore. I imagine everyone's sick of hearing it. The book will go premium at noon today. I'll release two chapters first as an appetizer, then later, after the author gets home, I'll write and put out some more.
I hope you'll kindly support me with a first subscription. Please continue to support the book, and thank you all again!
At this stage, the author's goal is to reach an average of 500 subscriptions! That's the passing line for maintaining a perfect attendance record.
