Background

Liao Zixuan first appears in Claw Forest as a Dark Flame Wolf cub. He deliberately displays his overwhelming strength after killing the Green Skin Snakes pursuing Vivian, but his attempt to impress her frightens her into fainting instead. 2

He remains beside the unconscious Vivian through the night, using controlled fire to keep her warm. After discovering that he can operate her game-system panel, he raises her Summoner level and commits to cultivating her into a formidable Witch by investing all of her attribute points into Elemental Affinity. 3

His knowledge of the world's former game storyline lets him identify Vivian's unexplained poisoning as a sign of the coming Abyssal disaster. He resolves to intervene, later using Purple Crystal Grass to stabilize her brother Andy after determining that an Abyssal Seed of Corruption is consuming him. 5 41
