The Priest of Destiny glanced toward the Xuan Tribe's team. Seeing the bewildered faces of those people, she revealed a faint smile.
It wasn't without precedent for a Supreme Divine Race to be eliminated during the knockout stage.
After all, in completely random matchups, several Supreme Divine Races had encountered one another during the knockout stage. This had happened more than once or twice across the nearly hundred rounds of the Festival of the Gods.
Still... for a Supreme Divine Race to lose to an obscure minor divine race was certainly enough to leave the spectators utterly dumbfounded.
"I didn't expect the Goddess's contingency plan to actually be used..."
As the pope of Destiny's believers, the man himself had never expected such a day to come.
"They should be very surprised."

Ignoring the waves of questions and exclamations surging through the venue, Destiny's divine race cast one last glance at the Xuan Tribe across the arena, then turned and returned to Destiny's temple...

Signaling for the Xuan Tribe's people to remain calm, Ti understood the reason behind this victory, but the worry in her heart had not lessened in the slightest.
