When Saine opened his eyes again, he was already standing at the very center of a massive Time-Space Altar.
The unusually active time-space currents within the Space-Time Channel did not allow Saine to remain conscious for long before he fell completely unconscious.
Although he had lost consciousness, under the Spider Queen's divine control and the altar's guidance, Saine's journey back to the Wizard World encountered no setbacks.
An excessively long journey through time and space was not something low-level lifeforms could easily endure. In fact, even Level-4 lifeforms and above rarely crossed such lengthy Space-Time Channels.
The greatest drawback of traversing a Space-Time Channel was that, if the journey lasted too long, it could leave the body with a slight sense of maladjustment. It could even inadvertently bring some inconceivable natural phenomena from within the channel back into Material Time-Space.
For example, a haze of bewildering white sparks was currently flickering along the hem of Saine's Magic Robe.
No one knew the true nature of these white sparks.
They might have been products formed from the union of light and shadow with Time-Space Power.
These abnormal phenomena would only gradually dissipate after some time.
Besides these special anomalies, Saine's two crossings through the Space-Time Channel had also cost him part of his lifespan. He had expended at least several hundred years of life.
Fortunately, Saine had already advanced to demigodhood, and he was still exceptionally young. This degree of lifespan loss was entirely within an acceptable range.
Compared to the losses he had suffered, the enormous gains he had obtained on the Faelun Continent and the joy of returning to the Wizard World were enough to overwhelm everything else.
