The Ghost Crow King, according to the intelligence gathered by Wizard Civilization, was a greedy fellow who bullied the weak and feared the strong.
Level-6 Creatures with such obvious character flaws were instead among the easier types to win over.
The Level-6 Creature Sea Emperor Shark had firm principles, but those principles had left its own race and subordinate planes trapped in a dilemma, unable to advance or retreat.
The Ghost Crow King, now appearing amid the stars, seemed somewhat silent. Each beat of its gigantic wings swept up an immense amount of particle energy.
But that astonishing display of power did not offer the Ghost Crow King much help in the actual negotiations.
Instead, the densely packed tide of hundreds of thousands of ghost crows surrounding Saine and the others occasionally let out cawing cries. Hearing too much of it became rather irritating.
Faced with the Ghost Crow King's silence, Saine paused briefly before letting out a soft laugh. "It seems the Ghost Crow King has no intention of welcoming us."
"So Ghost Crow World intends to become an enemy of the Wizard Alliance. If that is the case... there is no need for us to continue imposing." With that, Saine actually turned and left, looking as though he intended to board the Space Fortress and depart.
After remaining silent for so long, the Ghost Crow King finally spoke.
And the moment it opened its mouth, it revealed its timidity, shattering the aloof demeanor it had painstakingly maintained, along with that faint air of oppression.
"Caw caw... This King, uh, I bear no hostility toward the Wizard Alliance."
"Caw caw, we do not wish to become enemies of the Wizard Alliance either." The Ghost Crow King flapped its wings as it looked at Saine.
