Saine's first encounter with the Martial Arts Civilization had been anything but friendly.
The star pirates under his command truly were worthless trash that couldn't be plastered onto a wall.
When bullying ordinary interstellar merchant caravans and the weak, each of them had been more eager than the last.
Yet once they encountered a truly elite civilization's combat legion, they were almost instantly beaten into mush.
By the time Saine arrived at the scene, some of the star pirates led by a Level-3 pirate leader were being beaten into a headlong rout by a Tianming Empire Legion mounted on large white birds.
Those white birds looked somewhat like dragons and somewhat like cranes.
Their overall appearance was more like that of cranes.
The reason they resembled dragons was that Saine sensed the thin Dragon Bloodline within them. Their sharp talons and hooked beaks also bore certain traits of dragon-type creatures.
Another specialized combat unit similar to the Wizard Civilization's Dragon Knight Legion and Griffon Legion? Seeing these organized Tianming Empire Legions, Saine could not help thinking to himself.
An organized legion was not so easily established. At the very least, breeding these formidable white cranes before him could not have been simple.
In terms of strength, these white cranes were far inferior to the Wizard World's dragons and griffons. They were likely only somewhat comparable to the Elf Great World's hippogriffs.
But since they could cultivate a legion akin to the Elf Great World's hippogriff legions, it was enough to prove that the Tianming Empire possessed considerable strength.
Moreover, what was on display now was merely the tip of the iceberg of the Tianming Empire's overall strength.
Casting a cold glare at these star pirates, who were useless at success and more than capable of ruining things, Saine had not
