On one hand, Saine had to remove the Evil Tide Factors contained within it. On the other, he could not allow the residual Evil Tide Power to interfere with or affect his Magic Cube.
In short, the experiment was complex to the extreme.
It also allowed Saine, while analyzing and studying Evil Tide Power through Mechanical Arcana, to see characteristics of the Evil Tide that other ordinary Dominators found difficult to perceive.

Though Saine found it difficult for now to use this as a foundation to unravel Evil Tide Civilization's corrupted core, he could draw upon and use Evil Tide Civilization's corrupting power from another angle.
Analyzing a certain kind of Origin Power and borrowing a certain kind of Origin Power were clearly two extremes in terms of difficulty.
