When Saine, Icarus, and Fumila subsequently entered the battlefield as well, he finally saw clearly the Level-8 Demon Emperor hidden beneath layers upon layers of Evil Tide mist.

Saine Himself had never directly fought Saturn Demon Emperor. He had only seen him before, in the Metal Graveyard War Zone.
Back then, it was this very Saturn Demon Emperor, working together with another Level-8 female Demon Emperor, Hestia, who had nearly killed Kaseda, Wizard Civilization's Overlord-level Knight, in the Metal Graveyard War Zone.
It was fortunate that Hestia Demon Emperor and the others had initially wanted to demonize Kaseda, allowing him to hold out for quite some time.
Otherwise, Wizard World would have lost this Overlord-level Knight forever.
In the end, although Kaseda had barely preserved his life, one of his arms had been completely corrupted ever since, impossible to restore.
That was only thanks to Michelle, the Saintess of the Church on Elvin Continent, personally treating him.
Otherwise, Kaseda's condition would have been even worse.
Yet Kaseda was also an exceptionally capable Overlord-level Knight of Wizard Civilization. After one of his arms was corrupted, Kaseda was not the least bit discouraged.
